a person can find negativity in everything it takes little or no imagination. to look at things in a positive way is the way to live. rest in peace Ms. Hendrix, I'm sure you've passed on by now...........but Bridgeport will always be here.

I agree, she did get a little negative about buildings not being perfect and stuff. But I think she had her finger right on the pulse in some other ways- like how the city administration was kind of letting things slip. I think that in 1961 Bridgeport was still a manufacturing powerhouse, the big factories were still going strong at that time. Am I wrong?

you are probaly right about industry in 1961......can you imagine the article if she saw dowtown TODAY!!!!!!
she is spinning in her grave. tight capri pants and short shorts are the least of downtowns issues.
and
in 1961 with that adluterer kennedy in office......what can i say, some things never change.

summer is always good brother. as much as we hate it it is good to be busy, however i KNOW what you mean about taking time for nothing, garden growing well..........golf has been kind to me..........cats are good

Both George and Friskie, besides being better than Tippy, are doing well. They are as fat as ever. George has been getting more and more casual about crossing the road in front of cars, so I'm a bit worried about that. They are still fighting the foxes that live in the area.
