Holyshit Fnich - do the right thing for once: take away the tax breaks from dinardo (AND make him PAY UP) and give 'em to this USEFUL development opportunity in the East End.

You are correct, Sol. Finch needs his friends to pay their taxes now.

I doubt a supermarket will survive in that location. Between the rampant shoplifting, bounced checks, unreliable employees, etc, shopping centers don't seem to last in the hood. Look at the Park and North Ave location for example.

At Sol: DiNardo seems like another gu!do dirtbag over all, but his refusal to pay $ 10,000 back taxes on a property may have a very valid reason. The reporter never delves into the issue, but it may be something like a city-owned property next to his that makes his property worthless because it needs remediation.

Easily solved: a SECURE store. They're becoming a new thing in war zones.

You place your order (touchpad with pictures, so you don't even have to be able to READ), and wait in the air conditioned lobby and watch foxNews while the staff picks and packs the selections. Payment by ca$h or welfare card. Only THEN do your groceries get to your side of the 3" glass for your pickup.

NO alcohol, no fresh meat or fruit or veg (because those have to be picked and approved by hand to avoid fights of "you gave him better than me!")- only prepackaged shelved and refrigerated items. Granted, it's not EVERYTHING, but it'd be hell of a lot better (and safer) than the NOTHING they have now.

Good idea! I would also suggest no tobacco or books/magazines - let the local stores pick up on the fresh foods, papers/magazines, and 'vice' materials (beer/alcohol/tobacco) to make their profits.

$10K isn't that much to him when he owes millions he'll never pay back - he'll just continue to make MORE ultimately-unkept promises to the city hall idiots and they'll suck it all up. Look up history.
