'fee-for-service group of veterans advocates'
WHY is the VA CHARGING for this service? There are service group organizations that file vets claims at no charge. What is this scam all about. Is there power any different than what we have now?

Alpha advocacy is a scam, I signed a contract with them , they would only be paid on an appeal , I have claims that have been settled , but my appeal is still processing , Alpha took 20 percent from other claims, then stated they would send back and still they will not contact me , or respond to calls or emails.

This is what I read...
AlphaŽ is a private, fee-for-service group of veterans advocates independently accredited through the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Office of General Counsel. Alpha serves veterans in all 50 states and is focused solely on helping veterans get the most disability compensation they deserve from the VA. Alpha is the sister company of Freedom Disability, a leading national Social Security Disability Advocacy group.
So why is the VA charging a fee for this?'A PRIVATE FEE_FOR_SERVICE' ACCREDITED through the VA system that does what the VA is supposed to do. This independent group made up of veterans is funded by the VA? This sounds like a scam to me. This needs investigating. Time to break up this group before they really take the veteran for a ride.
