jim miron made some mistakes and he knows it. no one can question his vision. a couple of bloggers, one in particular from lordship , who had a relative lose their job(albeit for poor performance)capaigned heavily against him.

Now people are seeing that we need him back again. There is no doubt about it1

Jim Miron will come back. He has a swelling of support now. people realize his approach works best.

Since Harkins, the police dept has run amok, the fire dept as well. Pensions payouts at these two are worse then ever. Public works/ well we know all to well how that is going.

Shakespeare? hmmm that is nowhere either. Avco? the list goes on and on and on.....

bring jim back now!

Oh jezebel has judged my post poorly? Even you have b\"bagged" harkins now. You got what you wanted from him and now have thrown him to the curb. Your a creepy old man.

I'm sure Jim will be giving serious consideration to another run for mayor. Remember Bill Clinton lost on his try for reelection as governor but he came back from that defeat to be elected governor 5 more times and then onto President of the United States.

I would be willing to give him a another chance! We need to keep taxws down and if he committed to that then I would vote for him. I didn't agree with everything he said but I do think he cares about stratford.

Considering the current administration either Jim or Joe would be better than the jackazz in office now.

Mr. Paul worked in banking and now he wants to be mayor?

Great - I am sure he knows how to watch for dollars wasted.

How many employees in the bank took hundreds of paid sick days for years and kept their jobs?

I would say zero.

Will he make that a reality for Stratford?

He would get my vote
get it back

John harkins has had the Town for a full term and really nothing has been done. The Town is looked down upon by everyone. Taxes continue to go up, and services continue to go down. Pensions are a disaster and he has done NOTHIng to deal with this issue. No wonder the police/ fire union's supported him.

You may not agreed with everything Jim Miron did but he had a long term plan, he had vision. We need to bring him back. Forest to shore everyone must join in and get him back in the race!

I have been a lifelong republican. Looking back theere have been some good, some bad.

In the future I am voting for change. I will vote for someone that REALLY wants to help my community. We are a community that is very diverse with rich and poor, black, white, hispanic, and like me filled with middle class.

The stratford gov't has turned this community into a sick joke. Millions paid to town attorney's for useless jibberish. The outlandish pensions being paid out to our public sevants is something that we just cannot sustain. Our officials do nothing to reduce pensions ( which can be done by reducing overtime).

We have a new brewery in town. While it is great ( i actually like the place) atmosphere and has created some jobs to the area it should not be something to rest their laurels on.

Avco is one of the biggets jokes in the united states. We have 100 acres on the water in fairfield county and can't get anything done with it. Forget about Shakespeare, again nothing done.

I voted for Harkins and won't say that I won't vote for him again because I like him. If someone with a sense of change decides to run and fight the unions back to reality, if someone runs that i believe WILL end the Shakespeare saga, if someone runs that can get something done with avco and most importantly , if someone runs that has COMMON SENSE then i will vote for them.

We can't continue on people, not like this....

dear strat repub:

you say that you voted for harkins......then go on to show his inadequate dealings, yet say you may vote for him again?

that made no sense to me while the rest of your writings did.

I would vote for him again depending on the other candidate.

I would really like to see a candidate who is not interested in backdoor dealings, lawyers, and [email protected] I would like to see someone like Bloomberg or Chris Christie. Why do I like these guys? Because they speak THEIR mind and do what THEY THEMSELVES want, not what pundits want them to do. Americans are getting tired of the "system" politics where it is decided in the backroom. I would like someone with some COMMON SENSE to run stratford. Tell the lawyers to go back to the court house. amen

"Our taxes are totally out-of-whack, and I think I can make a difference so that taxes are not a major problem to homeowners in town," Paul said.

He added that he has the experience to figure out how to reduce taxes.

Seems like a pretty ambitious statement for someone who has not yet worked within the confines of union contracts and governmental budgets.

I will give him the benefit of the doubt, and hope he will not say whatever it takes just to get elected - but he will be the first politician in Stratford history to lower taxes.

No one cares about taxes........ Don't kid yourself, pensions continue to cripple this town.
