They are having the big tax fight in Washington. Seems the middle class falls somewhere between $250,000.00 bucks a year to $400,000.00. If you worked 365 days a year, for 250,000$$, that would be about $700.00 per day. Where are these jobs? I want one. How many of you are now in the lower half of this "middle income" bracket? If we make $50,000.00 a year, or close to $1000.00 a week, shouldn't we qualify for food stamps and gov't aid? Minimum wage can't even do half of that. I think this really shows how out of touch the entire political system is.

I've been saying this for YEARS. Our so-called "representatives" hardly represent the majority of their constituents. They only represent the ones with the money who contribute to their campaigns and special interest groups. The "middle class" has been hung out to dry and fleeced beyond measure by the very people who are supposed to be serving our interests.

The problem is, how do we fix this? Who do we ask for help? Can't get it from our "representatives" because they don't have any idea how much their "programs" and special interests compromise the rest of the population. We're screwed, seven ways to Sunday. And then some.

Where is the inevitable reference to Blumenthal or Newtown? I can't find it. Did you forget to include it?

Our culture has evolved from a healthy understanding of the basics to one of casting selfish, ignorant votes for one's 'group'. The solution is getting more out of reach every day; we will have fewer and fewer informed voters from now on. I can't see it turning around. If an inexperienced socialist can win the presidency, preside over 10% unemployment for nearly 4 years, spend us into a corner, get called an 'amateur' by members of his own party, spout 'you didn't build that' in the face of the american dream, and get re-elected, it's hopeless.

I'm not pussing out; I'm simply facing the reality of it. Protect yourself against the coming tidal wave of ignorance, thats all. We've replaced the strong american with brown socialist gay children who want a nanny state, and who have no clue of the great american ideal. They are the growing majority.

Yes I think these guys are really out of touch. You are lower middle class to them if you make $5,000.00 a week. I can be comfortable on half that. Not going to Vegas, but won't starve. The point is there are no more real representatives. When's the last time you asked a politician for help with a political problem and they did the right thing? The Bush Administration robbed us blind. We need some REAL Americans to stand up and try these bast@&ds for treason. The constant political spending for their friends in the name of"the greater good", has us broke. They stole everything and then borrowed to the end so they could steal some more, and we get the bill. This is supposed to be a represented system for all, not just a few. Boehner and Romney are great examples of people out of touch. An example of the mis-use of funds are the "beautification" road projects on the Merritt Parkway and the rest stops on 95. So where will this end?

So what's the "new" poor?
Forty dollars in NEW taxes for every dollar in cuts?

To paraphrase our cherished Walt Kelly: "Yep, son, we have met the [poor] and he is us."
