Ask Human Resources. That's what HR got their raise for.

By "they" you are surely referring to the HR Office. Yes. They agreed to it. Whats cheaper the court proceedings or keep the 5th guy until one retires? Arent the lawyers fees exorbitant enough in this town? It wont be filled after that. Just another TOS F-up. Seems almost daily.

Well, now that you mention it, Harkins once again hired CBG Associates to "find" a new Fire Chief. I suppose they have to use up the astounding $103,000 of our money for "employee recruitment" they just got.

Of course, there is a building across the street from Town Hall where the best qualified candidates work every day. Has CBG contacted anyone there? Nope. My guess is that the HR Director is too busy with his new "global" IT duties to look out the window.

Well that's because CBG has brought in such outstanding candidates in the past they decided to use them again. Now let me go clean the coffee I just sprayed all over my computer screen after typing that.

judgeits are contrary..2 jerks find that 103K alright? Prob not paying taxes in Stratford...but only drawing a paycheck here so why should you give a crap? Think about how the "budget" short changed you & yours even IF you do not live here. That was an unnecessary expense since so many qualified already on FD..

Why do firemen wear red suspenders?

To hold their pants up.

With all that overtime they get watching TV and sleeping, their wallets make their pants too heavy for a belt.

Why don't they have a chili supper to raise money for a new truck?

The recently retired assistant chiefs can help cook when they get done counting their cash

Best scam going, hardly any fires any more. FOI all the fires in town last year... maybe 20 and only a few of those structure fires maybe? Bring on the vollys!

Really funny scene today in Stratford.......... I saw a fire truck loaded with firemen actually leave the firehouse and DRIVE over to the Starbucks coffee shop. Are you kidding? What a waste of gas ........ Can't they make their own coffee in their 100000 new kitchen?
