I'm running for Congress in the 4th district on the Libertarian ticket. I'd like your views on what you'd like to see in your next Congressman. What issues are most important to you? Do you plan on voting? If so, what's your biggest priority in a candidate? If not, what kind of candidate or what kind of issue would make you excited about voting?

Feel free to either reply here or on the open forum on my campaign website at http://www.MayminForCongress.com . You can also learn more about me there.

Thanks,
Phil

Honesty, integrity, transparency. No more special interest favoritism, no more BS, no more pandering to the big money people. One flat tax, 15% across the board. No more bailouts. Fiscal responsibility. Less government interference in peoples' private lives. More accountability for SNAFUs.
No more war on drugs; legalize and regulate them, and we'll have all the money we need to pay the national debt.
DISBAND THE TSA and start profiling, dammit! Israel's got it right when it comes to air travel. No more violation of the 4th Amendment just because someone wants to get on a plane.
Encourage free enterprise and trade. Oh, and EVERY congressperson MUST READ and UNDERSTAND the United States Constitution and its amendments and ABIDE by them BEFORE THEY ARE ELECTED. There WILL be A TEST.
NO MORE FRIVOLOUS LAWSUITS. If someone spills coffee on themselves, too damn bad. Be more careful next time.

Yeah I know this'll never see the light of day, but I can dream, can't I? Or is that next to be outlawed?

Our once-mighty country fought TWO world wars to stop foreign governments from oppressing their peoples, and now our own government seeks to impose oppression on us. Time for the revolution, if our government doesn't start LISTENING to the little people. We're the ones who actually do any work around here, you know. Gods forbid the big people should have to do their OWN laundry or housekeeping.

For our current ones, a brain and a heart and a conscience, seeing as all of them, and our state and federal senators, don't have any of the above. How about some ethics. An excellent example would be to see Blumenthal get charged and made to pay back the 1/4 billion $$ he gave his ex-partner in no-bid contracts. Just that one, a single incidence out of many, would just about close the current budget gap.
