He took the DC job because they needed someone who could actually do it. While money is a consideration Joe is always about professionalism. Just look at his work with MADD,SUDDS, child safety seats, seatbelt enforcement Joe always rises to the top. This man gave 28 years to our town and police work is a young man's job. Good Luck Joe.

Did Loschiavo bring the snowblower back from Orange yet?
And...will he have to leave his teeth? Those teeth cost the taxpayers $75,000 (no, it's not a joke) and are Town Property.
Shame on you and your awful comments.

Speaking of Joe's work with MADD. Joe started the MADD DASH in Lordship every August at Short Beach. This year will be the 20th running. Now that you will be retired Joe and you don't want to sit around I hope to see you come out and run this year. Remember 60 is the new 30.

"He's been talking to me about the possibility for the last few months, so it's not that much of a surprise to me," Buturla said. "He's been a very good deputy chief, has served the department with honor and dignity and he will be missed."

The mayor and chief tried to get Joe to stay if you can REALLY read between the lines.

This council was wrong on Long Beach, wrong on Shakespeare. They should work with the mayor instead of creating chaos. I see no councilman quoted in this article saying Joe was forced out.

Awful comments? You are right. I do not enjoy commenting on awful things. When you are a Deputy POLICE Chief you are not supposed to drive an unregistered car, speed down the Merritt to lunch, steal Town equipment, hir anyone named “Loschiavo” or “Miron”, or shill for Buturla while Buturla collects his consulting fees on Town time. And those are only highlights. Then there is accepting donations and using the proceeds for a cruise.

And who knew about ALL of these shameful acts? Miron and Buturla.

I heard the Police Union allocated $50,000 towards this mayoral election. Sounds like they are serious.
