Yes... there is more info about it now. He was a talented artist with a following. Stroke maybe?? It seems like a lot of times, someone who is in real trouble medically goes staggering into water and they wind up drowning.

And a mentally ill lady in westport several years ago (drowned at a marina I frequent) and an elderly man in Stratford at short beach last summer.

Are you referring to the guy who went canoeing and never came back?

No, it's odd story. He went for a bike ride, last Monday, fell off his bike, hit his head hard enough to crack his helment. I guess he walked home after his accident. The next day his wife dropped him off by the accident so he could find his bike. Someone reported a distressed man in the water. The guy hasn't been seen since, they have been searching all week.
His wife was on GMA today and said they thought he was fine, but her sister (or sis in law) said his eyes were diulated and his walk was off.

Why didn't he see doctor after his bike accident? He must have hit his head so hard to crack his helment.

Sad. Very sad.

Oh ok yes I'm aware of that.... I thought his bike fell in the water and he went to try to get it the next day. There was a guy who went out in a canoe last year and didn't return, heart attack.
Yeah how sad; the recent guy looked full of life in the picture in the newspaper.

PLR (i think) had a good friend on the show talking about it and even he was unsure of what happened. That there were different stories out there. But I guess he lost his cell and keys as well, but how his bike got into the water, I don't know.

From what I understand he was a well known photographer and his wife is pregnant with their 3rd child.

And NOW, YET another man has gone under, again on the farmington river.
It can't possibly be too many years before all swimming, rafting, sailing and kayaking become illegal.

I'm sorry, but that women was foolish, who goes rafting at 2:30 in the morning with people you just met? I'd expect reckless behavior from a teenager, not a women in her 30's. That being said it's still very sad and I feel for her family.

That lady was foolish and the guy I was referring to was maybe even more foolish- why would you jump into a raging ice cold river, in an inner tube with no control, a few days after someone else died doing the same thing???

No I would not. Too much "it can't happen to me" mentality going on.

What do you think about the kid who jumped on the whale sharks back?

I'm torn between idiot kid and being jealous.
