We've never had any problems nor qualms about Penske so for our upcoming move we decided to book a Penske truck about a month ahead. Moving is stressful enough as it is and we were looking for dependability and quality service. Reserved via Penske website, got a confirmation phone call as well as an email confirmation saying our truck was fueled up and ready to be picked up at the designated Pick Up location.

The first sign of an impending disaster would have been when you hear the attendant say first thing "did you get a call from Penske?". To which I responded that I had and that I also received a confirmation email a few days earlier. Attendant at that point informed us that they DO NOT HAVE THE TRUCK WE RESERVED A MONTH AGO and nonchalantly added "they should have given you a call". So I hear him calling trying to find another truck (through their own fault) only after we politely declined the 26 ft truck he was tying to give us as if him telling us "it's the same price as the 17 ft truck" will force us to take a truck that we didn't need. We had to stand there while he calls others to say that I couldn't take the 26 ft took truck "because she said it doesn't fit in their driveway". Yes, I did tell him that the 26 foot truck wouldn't fit in our driveway but that's not the reason why we didn't take the truck..IT'S NOT THE TRUCK WE NEED.

Of course he fails to find us a truck last minute (which is why we reserved a month out) and said that he would call us 'if one shows up'. I turn around to ask my husband how to proceed at which point another customer cuts in and starts making inquiries while we were still in line. The attendant did not even bother telling the customer that we are still being 'entertained'..NO, NO. That was the final straw, I told the attendant that we would call him instead.

I called.. But I called Penske's main number to tell them what had transpired. They apologized but did not attempt to find out how to better improve their services. In this case I would recommend shutting the location down.

I absolutely WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND dealing with this location. I am appalled that they did what they did. If we were moving that same day and had to rely on that reservation what would have happened?
