In 1977,carter ended the sound business practice of lending money for home mortgages of repayment. No, that was racism, carter said. That experiment threw the sound financial standards out the window and culminated in current crisis , aided by bill clinton ,wall street and congressional creativeness.

The CRA loans within previously redlined areas have a much better repayment record than those made to more "desirable" demographics. The real mess started with the G-L-B act. Don't trust the bloggers - look it up.

clinton yes Was a horrible president
he didn't do anything . He lucked out that he tech boom happened under his witch so the economy was good, and that th Asian finacial crisis occured keeping oil prices down. He took credit for the good economy, but I challange you... can you find just one policy he put in place that would have had any signifigant effect on he economy at all?(other then the ones the republicans forced his to go along with). Also ,the cold war ended so there really want much going on pressing on the international front. He leaped into samolia and then left the second it got tough ,leaving the country an absolute mess(Bin Laden has referenced samolia as the example of the US as a "paper tiger", not having the guts to finish what it started). He ignored the first world trade center bombing, the embassy bombings in Africa, he let Bin Laden go in Sudan because he didn't want to spend any political capital, he ignored the USS cole attack, and allowed sudan to kick the weapon inspectors out and he did nothing about it until he launched a couple of cruise missles, al la WAg the Dog ,convieniently the same day the blue dress came out. Via Madaline Albright, he gave North Korea nulear materials as part of an aide package because he trusted they would use it for electricity.
Then theres the impeachment. Yes the republican went after him for political reasons , but he still lied to grany jury... thats called purgery and it would end any of us in jail.He did get disbarred for that.
Then on his way out ,he pardoned all of his crony buddies

Whatever, dude. What makes you think I'm going to jump to Clinton's defense any quicker than I'll cheer for Bush? It took you a long time to type the hype. I remember the scandals, cover-ups, bungles, recessions, military actions, crises, recriminations, investigations and crimes from half a dozen presidents - and throughout it all there have been partisans making it worse ranting false accusations, excuses, blind bias, conspiracy theories and exaggerations.
Bravo, buddy.

Always suggesting that Democrats are better on economic issues , even though History tells us otherwise. I'm guessing it has roots to the Democratic Myth about Franklin D Roosevelt's salvation of our economy from Herbert Hoover,s watch ,FDR's "New Deal "
deepened and extended the Depression for over 7 years.

Liberals love to say that Bush's Tax Cuts only benefited the Rich . Once again those pesky facts rebuff that claim... According the Tax Foundation's Data.

Rove was a good strategist, but he was not an 'evil man behind the curtain' as liberals would have you believe.
