Sam and BPT, did you read the article? At first look I agree with you guys but then I read the article. The lady is a library employee, went WAY overboard borrowing and not returning over $ 3000 worth of books and DVD's. She was warned over and over, and she had library cards in her kids names, although they are not town residents. Just half a dozen people like that and you wouldn't have a functioning library! I side with the nazis in this case. Burn her on the stake!

This is ridiculous. I'm glad I don't live in that town because I'd be furious of the waste of taxpayer money. Plus not to mention wasting the time of the police department. I'm sure this could have been handled differently. Wow an employee of the library took out too many items under different cards! Arrest her! What a joke!!! it's time to get rid of the town nutcases that made this call.

Apparently the woman was just exercising her over-inflated sense of entitlement. Hey, she works at the library, why shouldn't she take whatever she wants and keep it as long as she wants? Isn't that what she's there for??

Sheesh.

Lets hope they tried to handle it a different way... but what do you do when every alternative way doesn't bring back the books? What then?
