The damage has been done and I can assure this building is not in-line for a historical preservation.
Yes I can agree the foundry is historical and historically brass foundries have been proven to contain heavy metals. So why would Troy allow an unsupervised,non permitted demolition and then allow the debris to be left behind?

Try commercial and residential. We do not live in the 1800's and I do not live in a garage. My home has a garage just like millions of others. The neighborhood has families, retail, one of Troys best neighborhood pubs and the Hudson River.
However if I did live in a garage in an "industrial neighborhood" what difference does that make?
Are there special rules for dumping demolition debris in "industrial neighborhoods"?
My question is why can't Troy NY get this cleaned up?
