Ok Nina... it's abandoned, no one wants it, and no one in Watervliet has come forward with the necessary money for repairs. What would YOU propose should happen to that building? Simply saying "don't tear it down" is insufficient.

1. This fortress could hold a ton of people from
the area in case of disaster.
2. Europe retains their beautiful buildings....
we tear them down.
3. If other Catholic Churches should close this
big fortress could accommodate them.
4. This church could be marketed internationally.
5. This church is a replica of the church in
Lourdes, France ....our Lady appeared in this city
and this is well documented.
This church could be saved after all so many
schools and other churches have been sold.
Immigrants with little money were able to build
this church....this church can be saved.

What part of "it's falling down and no one with the money to fix it has come forward" don't you get? If you want to keep it open, why don't YOU buy it?

This isn't Europe.

Again, the building is falling down, and the Diocese doesn't want it...

As what? A tourist attraction? People who live there don't want to be in Watervliet... what makes you think tourists are going to come to visit that dump of a city? What do you suggest they dine? What fine hotels are there? What is there to do?

Our Lady appeared in Watervliet? So what if it's a REPLICA. You can buy replicas of vintage cars, it doesn't mean they have any value or are as good as the real thing.
