They drove an innocent man to kill himself. he didnt want to struggle and fight to clear his name. They didnt have any dna evidence to link him, anyone can carry condoms etc.. in their car. I do!

This whole thing is a big mess. Rather than face up to his charges, he went and left so many unanswered questions. What will they tell his children? What about his wife? WOW this is really messed up. I wish they would have gotten him before he ended his life.

Although some made comments on this site at various times they hoped for this to be the outcome of this situation, I was hoping this would not be the outcome of this case. I feel so bad for this man's family and others who loved him. God be with them handling the pain that their hearts must feel after all that has happened to them.

It has been many years since I have known the real Mike Johnson. There was once a time that he was a good husband, a loving father, a trusting friend, and a positive leader of influence. I can remember many positive memories of him where he did GOOD for the community and for local families. Unfortunately, the pitfalls of life's failures seem to have gotten the better of him and lowered him down to a person that I never knew before. I've read the many comments from the angry people who hate a man they never knew. I do not agree with what he has done, and I know at one time it was against his principles to commit these terrible acts. But underneath there was a good man once...

My personal opinion, it sounded like he was guilty from the get go, if I was on the jury he'd have to arugue pretty much to change my mind. And then he took off. A smart, and innocent MAN would have stepped up and fought it. I am always happy to see a hypocritical republican crash and burn. HOWEVER,
I feel bad for his family, his kids, they did not ask for this. Not sure what makes someone forget about families before they pull the trigger. Makes it worse being the merry season and all.

I have known Mike for over 20 years. I had a hard time understanding the break up of his first marriage and a much harder understanding the recent events that had apparently taken place leading to his suicide. I felt in my heart that Mike would go out in a blaze of glory, a gunfight with authorities that would ultimately lead to his death. It is unfortunate that anyone had to die, however, I am glad that no one else died in this incident. My thoughts and prayers are with his family especially the children he left behind. May they receive comfort and eventually understanding.

Yea he was a hard worker, he spent almost three years as a police officer trying to scam an injury and all he could come up with was a hurt thumb. If he was so fast then why didn't he dodge his own bullet.

i STILL DONT GET WHY HE WAS LET OUT OF JAIL WITH MORE CHARGES BEING FILED. tHEN INSTEAD OF JUST GO TO HIS TO PICK HIM UP,,,,THEY CALLED HIM ON THE PHONE AND ASKED HIM TO TURN HIM SELF IN. DO YOU THINK THEY WERE SURPRISE WHEN HE TOOK OFF??!! i WONDER IF WAS A REGULAR JOE IT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED THAT WAY. DISTURBING.

I am so sick of men in powerful positions, such as a police men deciding they can take what doesn't belong to them. What a coward for not having the guts to face what he did. Glad he was caught. Too bad he died at his own hands instead of someone elses. Prison would have been great too, he would have gotten exactly what he dished out.
My heart goes out to the women he abused.

well yous wanted him dead now you got it, I hope everybody is happy with the results,

but I would have to insist that the truth about whether he really raped those girls be sought!

i question how one commits suicide and shoots himself in the head and also in the chest all at the same time???????

the DA should be astounded with his statements and maybe he he could vindicate such statements by presenting proof of the three rapes????????

Enough bull$hit on this loser. His moment of fame is gone. All this will do is sell more newspapers for YDR. Condolences to the family.
