Rumor is the PA Leah Askey actually painted her office again, this makes the second time since taking office in January. She did so with public money and without permission of the commissioners who by statute are responsible for overseeing the upkeep and maintenance of all county buildings. Word is the Commissioners ( after the fact ) issued a memo stating in the future advance permission was required.

She has time to get the done, yet can't review a Credit Card policy within the 30 days voted on by the commission on July 26,2011.

Special thanks to Mr Hunt for filming that meeting. The Colbert administration is highly ineffective. They spent public money fixing up a crane at the road and bridge Dept. only to attempt to sell it, yet not bids we excepted. And the crane is only worth scrap metal prices.

I guess the real question is how many gallons and how many hours of labor were charged to the county. I'm sure it was a lot more than $20.00

Hey, what budget is the money for the special prosecutor for the hard cases coming from? Does Lincoln County actually have cases that are more difficult than what we have had in the past, ie, drugs, murder, child molestation, etc?

You apparently have never been married. She will continue to paint that damn office until she gets disgusted. She will never be happy the way it looks. She will like the walls, but not the trim. Then the trim but not the walls. This will continue until she really gets pissed and finds someone else to blame.

There is a lot to complain about with her! She should worry about prosecuting and NOT about the walls!

Sorry you feel that way. I'm just glad we have a house that we can afford. I'll stick with white walls.

Okay...how about this. Our PA has selected Joel Eisenstein to act as a special prosecutor to handle the "hard" cases. Why is that? What is Mr. Gundy doing? Also, Mr. Eisenstein represented Ms. Askey in her lawsuits re: Agri-Med. prior to her election. I find it odd that her personal attorney is now the "special prosecutor" for cases. Conflict of interest? Maybe. Quid pro quo? Feels like it. Lack of transparency, you bet.

Why does this whole thing have a barnyard aroma?

Leah,

Did you get the Credit Card Policy done yet? The Commission voted to have it done in 30 days and that was on July 24th.

For my information what color is you're office now? I heard the paint and labor cost the taxpayers $600.00, it that correct! Is that why you held the pizza party in Hawk Point, again on the taxpayer dime!
