They have their board meeting at the Troy base. If you call them I'm sure they will tell you when the next one is.

you act like you know the fax and you reply to almost every comment about going to a board meeting but you don't know when the board meeting is being held I bet you the next board meeting is after the election

I'm sure that they will be meeting again before the election. You keep asking questions but when someone tells you where you may find the answers you don't seem to like that. No one here is going to know the answers to the exact figures. I challenge you, why don't you go and bring back the factual figures to the rest of us? Rather than to continue to speak from a stand point of being uninformed.

Pike Lincoln paramedics do not get down time to watch TV and in between calls they actually work in the ER Lincoln County paramedics do not what did they do if they are not on a call ( sleep and watch TV oh and post on here how to tax payers are stupid, dumb asses, and that we are uneducated and Saint Charles County makes more money)
Pike County Medics HATE their jobs, and as soon as they are offered another position somewhere else, that get the hell out of that hell hole! Which results in a very high turn over rate and the hospital (Yes, they are hospital based) has to pay to train new medics constantly. Job retention saves you money.

well it sounds like Lincoln County medics hates their job to because remember they leaving goto Saint Charles County you guys have better equipment and make better money than Pike County and pike County has to work in the ER while you guys are sitting around watching TV and sleeping so go work for Pike County and see how much better you have it or better yet save tax payers money and go work in the ER

also the hospital does not spend money to train medics people have to go to paramedic school which is paid out of their own pocket, scholarships, grants, and loans. paramedic school cost anywhere from 6,000 to13,000 depending on what school you go to and take approx my 1 year to complete school

I wish I knew all if the figures myself, but I don't so I'm not going to get on here and give out more false information. I know enough to say that the figures that people are posting on here are incorrect. Figure it like this, most of the people that the ambulance transports are elderly that have medicaid and/or medicare. The ambulance can bill all they want (normally i believe about 700 plus mileage), but these insurances do not pay that much. They only pay a very small portion of that (like less than half if that). I think the bottom line is that they don't have enough money from taxes and insurance to expand. the county is growing and i guess it will be up to us tax payers if we want them to expand as well. I would like to see this occur before people's lives are lost because an ambulance is not available. Our ambulance ranks very high in the treatment that they provide and are looked at very highly by all of the hospitals that they transport to. Tell you what I will find out when the next board meeting is and I will post it on here. That way anyone wishing to attend will know the date and can maybe attend to learn more.
How much

So if I have figured this out correctly, it is an increase of about $80 per year.

So, what you are complaining about is an $80 per year cost for ambulance service, which you will not see a bill beyond this. Sort of like an insurance policy isn't it.

tell me something, isn't $80 a year a bargain when compared to your loved one's life.

If you can't afford this, then you have a much more serious problem, and it doesn't have to do with taxes either.

just because you guys are in fancy ambulances it does not give you the right to do 40 miles an hour down Main Street with no lights and sirens in a 20 mile an hour zone if its that big of an emergency turn your lights and sirens on I'm actually surprised you're able to stop at the stop sign you guys are so lucky did not hit me this happened about 11 o'clock on 10/12/2012 at the corner of Main and cherry if you do not have lights and sirens on you should obey the laws

According to the LCAD Rep, people without insurance will still get billed. If they cannot afford it or don't pay, the account will get turned over to a collection agency.
That is untrue. If the initiative passes county residents will no longer have any out of pocket costs for ambulance use. Whoever you spoke to was mistaken. You might get a bill but it will be optional.

Failed 60% to 40%. I'd say that's quite the definitive answer. Perhaps people are starting to feel that government at every level needs to operate by the laws of reality that everyone else does: you can't spend money that no one has. Live within your means. There is no revenue problem at any level of government, there is a spending problem. More government is not the solution to too much government!

Let's reduce government to only its basic functions. Only law enforcement, EMS and fire to be kept at MINIMUM levels. Only two or three deputies on regular shift at a time. Increase the number of students in classes to between 35-40 at ALL grade levels. No new school facilities, put the kids and families on split shifts with school starting at 6:30 am.

Alot of the calls in lincoln county are for drug overdoses. Let the dopers die off. We'd all be better off. Do something about the Heroin and Meth problems in this county and then you'll have plenty of time to save the people that deserve it. I voted NO!

How many tax dollars will the Ambulance District Board waste on putting things on the ballot. They need to live within their budget and stop continually asking for more! They need to get the message.

I guess that when you need an ambulance, you'll just have to saddle up the horse and go get the doc to come when he can.

Wow. I actually agree with this statement, however, people like you put Obama in office and believe in some kind socialism thing where everyone gets free health care. So now, that drug head gets the same rights and medical treatment as you. Oh, and for free, you are actually probably going to be paying for it

Also, I would like to thank all of you that put Obama into office to recieve free health care, but not pass the .30 cent tax increase to get to the facility to actually receive the health care. Now you will be paying a bill. If this increase would have went through you would have had a free ride. Guess some people were still misinformed.

There was a car accident on HWY 47 today, 4 people went to the hospital... Whoops, There goes all four ambulances hope nobody has an emergency in the next 1-2 hours while all the ambulances are in the next COUNTY. Oh yeah, there was one, it was a heart attack, good thing the first medic JUST crossed into Lincoln County.

Not to mention once the first ambulance left, The other patients had to wait for the other ambulances to get there. Only like 15 mins, But whose counting right? At least I didn't have to pay that extra $65 on my taxes at the end of the year.

I like looking at the people that voted no, they are always soooo against the change? They hear the word "tax" and are automatically against it. They are the ones that complain nothing is good enough, but never have a solution to fix it. If there isn't a better way to do something, then shut your mouth because that would mean there is nothing wrong it.

People like the ones that voted no are the ones that complain it is the way it is, but then when something happens to them complain it isn't better. "Ambulances go to fast!!", " What took you guys so long". "Tax for compassionate billing so I don't have to pay for a ride? heck no!", "What? Look at this bill?!!"

You people ever play the board game life? I bet you sucked didn't you. You were the ones that never bought insurance for your family.

I just don't understand how you people can put Obama in office and support free health care, but not support free ambulance rides? Seriously? Please respond how .30 a year wouldn't justify that but you support the biggest tax increase in your living history?
