If you want there is a practice this Tuesday at 5:00 in Winfield. They need 1 more for their 12u team. Ask for Tony or Dave. the address is 141 East Avenue Winfield MO 63389. Its just across 47 from Dollar General..its a large buld on the left.

Dang "Parent", little harsh and quick to prejudge. Honestly if you know anything about select softball than you would know that most teams held tryouts about 2 months ago and have their teams already set.Your best bet is to stick her on a team, any select team, that would take her and spend a season getting to know how the system works. If your daughter is "that good", coaches from other team will ask her to tryout and maybe even sub at a tournament or league play.
If nothing else let her play for that team and build some confidence, get in some good practice against other "better" teams, and let her learn how to be a leader.Otherwise look online there are teams in Ofallon that may need some players.Just keep in mind most spots open now are for utility players and subs.
Finally, please keep an open mind, I have heard parents brag on their kids before, listened to the "too good for stories", most of the time these parents are blinded by what I call "parent syndrome" and the child is the one that suffers.

I believe the two 12u select teams that came from the Misfits were the Knock-outs and the Missouri Ice. I was told both still need one more player. I also heard Troy Extreme is very good but I think they are 14u. Not sure though.

All these select teams are just for the parents. The kids could care less about how "advanced" and "semi-pro" the team is that they play on. They just want to PLAY and have FUN.

Oh yeah you'll have parents jump in saying their kid is such a superstar they couldn't be on a regular team, but WHERE does the KID get that OPINION!?!?!

Yep you guessed it. Right from the parents. Kids don't come up with opinions like that on their own. If so then NOBODY would have played SOFTBALL or BASEBALL prior to the 1980's

What part of, "The kids could care less about how "advanced" and "semi-pro" the team is that they play on. They just want to PLAY and have FUN" did you NOT understand?

Sounds like you have a comprehension problem as well as a few self esteem issues coupled with a complex of what is professionally known as "living vicariously through your children".

Also it sounds like you have some issues with your own athletic ability so you pushed your kids to be something you could never be yourself.

Hahahahaha my kids have a choice on what they want to do i have never made them do anything they dont want to do... and as far as semi-pro team no such thing in softball... no kid likes to lose am i right???? and they do want to be on a good team... my oldest daughter started playin when she was 10 and played for the same damn team until she went to college.. the choas.. it was always her choice.. as a matter of fact there should be more softball parents like me... its always been thier choice if they dont like the coach or not meshing well with the other girls on the team then i understand wanting to leave but in this economy i cannot afford $1200.00 for her to play ball for this team and she understands that my wife and i have had this talk with her... she does care what team she plays for and she played agianst thi tony guys team wen he was the misfits last year and he yelled and screamed at his girls like u wouldnt believe he should not be a coach... i asked her if she wanted to go to his pract ice she said no.. she wants to be on a competitive team his is not!!!!!!

I find it wrong of you to judge tony quite honestly.. i started the misfits a few years ago and i had no problems with tony coaching that team. now as far as yelling etc.. if you have ever coached before and are competitve at all you know you get cought up in the moment of the game.. he never disrespected any of those girls or thier parents for that matter... so you judging him without knowing him is very wrong of you, and speaking of yelling.. your daughter plays for the royals correct? i guess bobs yelling is different?.. no disrespect to bob the man knows his stuff and is a good coach but how can you shun another for yelling at his girls?? alot of coaches do.. i know tony on a personal basis and he is a good guy so shame on you for talking about him behind his back.. why dont you take a team and see what its like.. JERK!!!!

JERK!!!! how can you talk about tony without even knowing the man?? I started the misfits a few years ago and the whole point of that organization was to take rec girls and see what select level of compitition was.. and to be quite honest they all did very well.. i cant believe your talkin about this man behind his back.. i know tony on a personal basis and he is a good guy.. yelling comes with the title of coaching.. your daughter plays for the royals? i know bob yells.. nothing against bob hes a good coach and knows the game.. but all coaches yell.. why dont you take a team and see how well you do so we can all judge you..
