If you are ever driving between Lincoln and Main st., or you spend anytime in this cities park you may have noticed the Homeless Man wandering the parking lot and Hill Top gas station picking cigarettes off the street and out of the ash trays. So we have vagrants in Troy now? I moved here 6 years ago for a little better scenery, just saying. Anyone else seeing this?

Every community has such people. Even "yuppie" Wentzville has the homeless guy that hangs out at the entrance to Wally World.

The REAL problem is that Lincoln County is a POOR community. The issues here go far beyond a "vagrant" bumming cigs from local residents.

Maybe if we had some INVESTMENT in the community, NEW BUSINESSES and MORE JOBS we could avoid such situations. Sadly, it appears that people are just happy with the way things are and have been for generations.

He also picks cigarettes out of the trash containers in the places of business along Hwy 47. I work at one of those places and see him all the time.

I was homeless then Albright moved me into one of his old trailers. I have a yard full of trash now and have helped reduce home prices in the county.

He isn't homeless, I'm pretty sure he lives at the home for vets on cap au Gris.

I heard he is renting a room from Eddie and Maria Schieffer. Helping Eddie out with dressing after his knee surgery!

The Troy House on Cap au Gris is not for vets only, it is for people that can not live on their own. They all of different reasons for living there. Some are schizophrenics or manic depressants or other issues. Everyone has their own battles to fight, just some people show it more than the rest of us. God bless all the people that have to live like this. I can't even imagine walking in their shoes. Also, a little kindness will go a long way with these people.

You people are mean. That man may have issues you dont have a clue about. Instead of dogging on him or trashing him or blasting him for having the audacity to be homeless in Troy, why don't you stop and ask him if he needs help.

off of us are like that, some of us have probably walked in his shoes. If I ever see him I would offer him something. Did it ever occur to anyone that they don't want to be homeless, they just don't have the means and ways or maybe they have too much pride to ask for help. Some of you need to get a grip, instead of complaining about it do something about it.

Is it be possible for those who are criticizing him to muster up some compassion? I have never been homeless, only can imagine how difficult it would be. Homeless face daily challenges with hygiene, nourishment,, hydration and the climate. Would be like being on a perpetual camping trip without the truck load of provisions. If you see him, help him.
