Do you ever fear losing the upper hand?

Based on the information Mr. Artru was working with, it was a truthful and factual presentation.
When his premise was discovered erroneous, he made the adjustments, presented the facts, apologized and gave credit where credit was due. Folks make mistakes.
There was nothing malicious in his motive or presentation.
As for Mr. Hunt, he is quite capable of answering for himself, however, I do know for a fact that he has been predisposed the past couple of weeks with personal matters.
You're free to draw whatever conclusions you want from that.
That does not free this County's representatives from the mountain of unethical, illegal and unprofessional behavior is has displayed.
It does not free this County's representatives for burying this County in an economic black hole.
One good thing doesn't erase the public's memory.

If being honest and forthright is maintaining "the upper hand"...
nope, I'll never lose it.

Be careful of the pedestal you place yourself on....and the exclusivity you grant yourself.

pedestal?

You folks amaze me some times.
You won't take the time to read something and think about what it actually is saying because you are more interested in quick-drawing you weapon of judgment.

If asserting my honesty and my attitude of being "forthright" in lieu of tip-toeing around subjects is somehow placing myself on a pedestal, then I'm putting myself on a pedestal.

really?

Well, i apologize for starting such a ruccus. I merely wanted some thoughts as to whom you all thought would be running this time and for what seat. If this is the kind of firestorm that is gonna come out of a simple question post, then maybe I was misjudging those that read this. Thank you all and have a good day!!

I hear the behind closed door meetings continue, meetings held without a posted agenda appear to be the norm. As always the official minutes are vague and a complete joke. I predict Bass, Hall and Bishop will be replace in November. I'll never forget that Bishop took those sweet little $14,000 perks. They has LOST my vote. The Treasurer and Sheriff will remain in office as they continue to have the citizens best interest at heart. Seriously, I can't wait until 2014 to vote Dan Colbert and Leah Askey out.

Sorry, but that useless sheriff needs to go ASAP! Bankruptcies and failed businesses in the past are showing through at the sheriff's department. The only way he can run a business is into the ground.

He changed the guard schedule at the jail which resulted in a time lapse in supervision of prisoners. This gave the two prisoners time to crawl through the ceiling, unnoticed and missed for over two hours. Previous to his administration, there were no escapes. There never was a design flaw of the building. The design flaw was the guard schedule and Kriegbaum is responsible for it AND the loss of revenue as well as the expense which caused a deficit. Yes, he is a nice guy and his intentions are well founded, but we cannot afford mistakes like this again. Sorry Mr. Kriegbaum, you are not competent or deserving of a second term.

The fact that prisoners were able to crawl through the ceiling is in itself a design flaw. The only way out should be the way they went in. If there are other options, then there is a design flaw.

I would be willing to bet he is still charging Lincoln County for his drug problem. Give us the answer Mr. Bass.

I really hope that someone that is not just a yes man for the presiding commissioner runs against Mr. Bass. He is absolutely worthless and a waste of our tax payers dollars. We need to know how much his drug treatment cost the citizens of Lincoln County while he was in office. Does anyone know out there? We need to know the facts after all it is our tax dollars he was spending.

I am a bit hot and cold on this medical issue. I have personal experience with excruciating back pain that nearly crippled me. I went to several doctors for a variety of tests, x-ray's, and MRI's. It was too severe to operate and they all felt my best bet was a mixture of therapies. I went through about 10 months of pure hell before I was at a point where I could sit, stand, and walk with acceptable pain. In the early months I was prescribed pain pills. In my case, they kept me awake. But, when they wore off I would crash. I can see how people get hooked on them because you don't really know what time of day you will crash. Plus, they subdue the pain.

The mistake Mr. Bass made was when he went to the streets for pain pills because his doctor apparently quit prescribing them. He should have known then he had a problem. This is a lesson learned for Matt and anyone else with or without back trauma.

I couldn't agree with you more on this one. The Sheriff need to go. Did anyone see chanel 4 the other night? The poor family in Eleberry that there loved one died and can't even have a proper service for her due to the lack of the sheriff's office taking her DND to the Crime lab. But once chanel 4 was there you sure seen them transporting it. What a joke. How many detective does he have and can't get one to do the job. He need to go. I will vote for mickey mouse before I would vote for him again. Bad mistake on my part.

I agree with everyone on here, cause everyone doesnt like this Sheriff because he doesnt do enough, then when we get one that is fairly aggressive then we can say he is harrassing us. Lets jus police our own, what a great idea. Well atleast untill we really need the police but lets worry about that later, the crime rate is so low here in Lincoln County.

Actually there have been escapes from the jail prior to Krigbaum. A trustee inmate escaped after setting fire to the kitchen. This happened under Torres. The shifts have been the same under Krigbaum as they were under prior administrations. And as to the number of detectives, there are about half as many detectives now as there were under Torres due to budget cuts.
I'd vote for Mr Hunt

The only thing this man has demanded is accountability and transparency within our county, this is require by law. He doesn't back down, isn't bullied or owned by anyone. He can't be paid off by the good ole boys of this county and frankly he's not one that gives up. The only people against him getting voted in, fear the truth will be exposed or have the others elected officials in their hip pocket. He's already saved this county almost a million dollars and hasn't been elected.

Vote for Hunt, if he runs that's exactly what I plan on doing.
