A simple thought process will allow a reasonable person to realize that those who want to drink will. They will travel 20 miles to get what they want. Then, they will pop the top and enjoy a 20 mile ride home. Logic says, the shorter the drive, the less time to be on the road, thus stoping the risk considerably. Not to mention the residual income brought into the local community instead of others. Maybe taxes would fall? I doubt it because the machine we feed is greedy but for the oposers, come join the realist in this century.

this idiodic idea that making alchohol more avalible is somehow safer shows the stupidity we are dealing with areas where alchohol is more available have more teen related deaths not less more traffic fatalities not less they also enjoy nightly sirens shootouts stabings check the facts the whole idea is to make things hard to get less people go through trouble to get it this is why police dont allow crack dealers to stand out in front of businesses on main street where are tje churches in this where is m.a.d.d in winona only 5% of population voted thats why it passed

i think you should go to cuba they sell alchohol on every corner they dont have food but they have alchohol being drunk believe it or not is not a constitutional right people move to communities like this to get away from problems like that if it was up to me id make a dwi a xapital offence punishable by death first offence then you wouldnt have nobody drinking and drivin people drink because they have pathetic lives and need a escape but they dont have to do it in public not our oublic anyhow this has zero chance of passing and any one who thinks the safety and security of a community is worth a few extra dollars then why not go back to my first argument legalize everything prostitution gambling crack everything you really think you have a constitutional right to drink and a woman cant sell her own body nobody complains when she gives it away you think you are better than a crack head that he cant enjoy his vuces but you can let freedom ring legalize everything or admit a community has the right to defend itself against undesirable practices that put into jeopardy its safety and security ive been to 13 differant countries and did more for this one than i care to account but you cant have it both ways either a community can and will or they cant

I think I showed no disrespect for you or your opinion and you have been a very rude and insulting ass but I will not stoop to your obviously uneducated level. I will have to tolerate you the same way you will learn tolerate the sale of the (poison). Take a drink and loosen up.

230 people voted, 58 % of the registered voters and approximately 40% of the total population. Your arguments are no longer vlid because you prsent information that you attempt to pass of as factual which is easily debunked.

Indeed, why not legalize marijuana as well... Revert back to paganism? Is there a law in Smith County that says you have to be Christian too? You small minded, terrified, little person.
