Since we are new in Trinity, can someone tell me what the story is on the big metal head next to the East Texas Sausage Company shop on Pagoda Street? Looks like the character Pinhead from the movie, Hellraiser. Also, what's the deal with different colored lights in it as well?

Succesful Houston artist has studio in Trinity. Mother lives at WWS. I think the head was leased to a museum in San Diego for several years, and now it's in Trinity.

I heard it was an old Trinityite by the name of Bubba. Bubba had a son, Bubba Jr. of course, who studied to be an artist. Now Daddy Bubba really liked to drink. Now believe it or not, Trinity has a few crack whores. One day, Daddy Bubba got to drinking quite a bit and of course he got to messing around with the crack whores quite a bit. Got in a fight with them on the sidewalk in downtown Trinity. Somebody called the police. Of course Bubba was still acting up when they got there. Bubba had some previous medical issues. When the police got there somehow he slapped his colostomy bag on the side and it busted and got poo all over the police officer. They got mad, took him to jail, sent him to rehab, turned the crack whores loose and of course Bubba Jr. became distraught. So he built this monument in the image of Daddy Bubba. And it helps him not miss his Daddy so much. That's what really happened.
Daddy Bubba is due out in 2012.

It's true, my cell phone doesn't work down here?

I tried to call D.H. for more liquor and hookers but can't get through?
Then again, I've never been able to get through to D.H.:-)

Thanks Yeow, a believable answer. Now that all the children have had play time, could someone with concrete knowledge about this thing give a REAL answer if there is a known answer other than the artist blurb that Yeow gave? Thanks (I think)

Well...I was fishing on the Trinity River the other day...and just like the dolphin in the Super Bowl commercial - an alligator swam up and said, "so...you want to know where the metal head on Pagoda came from...huh?...well, rumor has it...it was created by an artist from the Houston area some years ago for a project that he had sold. He has studios in Houston and (for some reason) here in Trinity. Well...for some reason, the project fell through or was delayed and sometime in the interim - a few years back - while working at the Trinity studio late one night he was murdered in cold blood by unknown assailant(s) and the case is still unsolved to this day. But...what do I know...I'm just a reptile.

And he swam away...

...murdered by unknown assailant(s)... probably one of those Trinityites that live by the river.
