I will sure miss Romos now that it is closed. It was easily the nicest place to eat in Trinity! At least you could eat good food and relax in a nice atmosphere there... unlike the rest of the places around here. The food is fine at some of the others, but the atmosphere stinks mostly.

I loved Romo's and ate there all the time. Great prices, loved the quiet-private-ish atmosphere and the food, YUMMY! I've tried across from Western Auto but the beef (hamburger meat) in my food had all kinds of stuff added, I do NOT like stuff added to my hamburger meat (i.e. an enchilada, taco, etc.) and the order-taker didn't seem to understand us at all. We'd ask questions and she'd just say "Yes"...and we didn't need a "yes" answer! Ugh. She definitely did not get the message we didn't like veggies in our food or on it - even though we asked for no veggies (i.e. a taco)

The restaurant in the Alco shopping center I just hate the atmosphere (too close to everyone) and it's like they use Cheez Wiz for their cheese! Worst cheese enchiladas I've ever had was there. If you cannot make a good cheese enchilada, something is definitely wrong! It's one of the easiest Mexican dishes to make and VERY hard to mess up - but they did it royally. It's like they didn't dip the tortilla in hot oil first and used it "raw" and then that cheese, BAD BAD cheese!

We ate recently at the one out on the outskirt of town near the fish market and it was okay but the floor was messed up, it was REAL noisy...and the seating is, again, not very private, even with a booth. Prices seemed at least fair though. We will eat there again.

I MISS ROMO'S! It was the ONLY place we liked to eat out at, often!

Romos was just average nothing special .Most of the time it was below agerage. maybe a 3 on a scale of 10.
And if you think they had an ounce of atmospere or class you don't know the meaning of the words. I don't consider a couple of pictures on the wall and mexican music atmosphere . Maybe all the cooks were enough for you Wonder just how many were Legal!!!!!!!!!! I would venture to say very few. My wife & I ate there as little as possiable only kept giving them another try . To see if there were any improvements in the food and staff. Sorry to say it appeared she had kids working most of the time .

No, I do not believel they did.....I went to a few meetings at Romo's and always young hispanic kids working and you could hear the cooks talking in spanish. I quit going. Patriots should have checked into that.

No... I disagree about the Patriots meeting at Romos. They were in the food service business and had a meeting room... which was, by the way, almost the only one available in Trinity! The Patriots are a group that needed a place to meet. It was not any of their business nor were they privy to the inner workings of somebody else's business. But... as nosey as some of you people on Topix seem to be... I'm not particularly surprised at your attitude.

I hate to agree with MFC but he is so right on . I can"t understand WHY the Patroits continued having meeting there knowing what seemed to be obvious.

Excuse me......it was not a meeting room....it was a DINING ROOM..... I believe I recall one meeting about illegals in America.....and did the patriots even check into if any illegals worked at Romo's .... if you would just sit back and listen and watch..... I agree with Man from Crockett....

just because you speak spanish does not make you illegal, I have a mother-in-law, born in San Antonio, Tx, can't speak a lick of english, but she is as legal you and me, give it a break, jump on someone else's band wagon, way to much time on ya'lls hands, get out of in front of the computer and do something constructive, quit meddling in busness that does not concern you.
