This is about the biggest waste of money there is! A stop light and a speed reduction would have been better. I would gladly wait for the light, especially if it meant saving a life. These two sections are dangerous, the roundabout will not be any safer. It has inconvenienced a lot of people, who are currently unemployed. They didn't ask us if it was okay, the detour signs are not helpful. Not everyone watches the news 24/7, I personally did not know they were doing this. I also did not know the traffic to local homeowners would not be allowed during the time the workers were not there. Everyone who has went through the barricades is being told we are not allowed through there. I wish the state or county would have to reimburse us for our time and money lost. Local traffic should be allowed no matter what. The economy is so bad right now, people shouldn't have to worry with this inconvenience. I was recently stopped by a state trooper for going through the area and he told me if the signs were up we were not allowed to go through there.
If you can not comprehend how a roundabout works, PLEASE stay off of the road. You are a danger to all around you.
The DOT does not have to ask permission before improving the roads.

I understand it completely you moron! Maybe you should stick to your section of the world. I live here and know exactly how dangerous the road is..but, I guess you don't have a child might get killed at these intersections. Due to that keep your comments to yourself and stay off the site yourself.
The only danger here, I have a perfect driving record, is people like you!

If you understand them, why are you scared of them? If good driving records is how you judge people then I win. I have over 2 million safe driving miles in a truck and about 500,000 in a car. I have been in a wreck that killed 2 people, but it was stupidity on the other driver. If roundabouts were as dangerous as you think they are, why aren't there bodies piled up at each one? There are quite a few around here and they are everywhere up north. They keep traffic moving instead of having to sit at lights.

Number one you can't read!!! I never said I was scared of anything!!!!!!! You seem to have the same type of comment to everyone. And I doubt that you really know what you are talking about. For one the school has informed people that buses will have to take different routes. Why? The roundabout is a problem for the bus!!!! NEW drivers will be driving on this road!! Which is already dangerous. And if you had done you homework, you would have found that there in fact roundabouts increase accidents at the intersections. I wouldn't expect someone like you to understand that. I've lived here for 14 years, the road is dangerous enough without adding to the problem. You think everyone out here is dumb, stupid, redneck, and in fact you make yourself look that with you uneducated assumptions.

When you add in the economy and that so many people are out work, bleeding them dry for the state's benefit isn't a solution. I honestly hope your child won't be attending any school that requires them to travel these roads! And if you happen to have that child who will be driving these roads, I'll say a prayer for them!

I would only call someone a redneck if I was complimenting them on something.

Why would a bus not be allowed through a RB? They use them everyday in other places. Trucks pulling 53' trailers use them.

All I know was what some parents were told yesterday by the school, which is on this road. Doesn't matter when school starts back there will be at least 30 min. delay for students. According to the city they've made very little progress on the road. They've only started on one of these roundabouts and they now have no idea how long it will be before the road will be reopened. It is a big inconvenience for everyone in this area. With so many on this road being unemployed, people are having to pay big bucks just look for jobs and to buy groceries. Someone really should have planned a lot better.

Daily Horoscope for June 18

Sagittarius

It's a great day for mixing and mingling with people you always get on well with, so try not to keep yourself to yourself too much as that would be a real shame on a day when you're feeling so convivial and friendly. Speaking of friends, you'll enjoy spending time with them now, especially if you share some core values.
