Suddenly motorcycles have become invisible along with bicycles. Must be the Romulan cloaking device.

How did she look and not see a motorcycle with headlights. Girl you need to come clean and tell the truth.

She probably had a cell phone in her ear. These youngster will not be safe no matter what is done. There is a problem somewhere. I hate this famililies loss. This teenager should be punished severely but I almost bet she will get probation only.

I go through this intersection everyday. I am almost positive what she did. There is a stop sign on Level Plains Road that nobody ever stops for. I'm not saying I KNOW what she did but...

I agree she should have seen him. Number one she was 17 and who knows what she was doing in the car. Make up, talking on the phone, who knows.
I have seen it all even a woman driving down the interstate reading a book.
You cant fix stupid...

First of all , if this was your daughter that pulled out would you still say that you wished she would be punished harsh . Im a motercycle rider as well . And I have made the mistake of not seeing something coming . This area where this happend is in a curve . The biker could have been speeding . who knows . What makes me mad is that you people are so quik to judge . Not one of us here has any idea what was going on . the driver of the exporer could have been driving perfectly and at the time maybe the biker wasent in view yet . who knows . But i forgot no one makes mistakes anymore and i guess all you guys are perfect . It dosent take much to make a mistake . its unfourtunate yes but there is no need to speculate and say she was on the phone or anything else when you really have no clue considering you were not there .

Mark like you said it was an accident. As I said before I go through that intersection everyday and drive Level Plains everyday. She came out of a curve the straightens out into an intersection with a stop sign for Level Plains. People who are not familiar with that intersection will run the stop sign. Mr. Lewis lived three houses down from that intersection. Do I think she has been punished enough. From what I seen of her yesterday "yes". I was just stating that is was a bad intersection. Come sit down there some Friday afternoon and count the number of cars that run that intersection to go to the girl scout camp.

im glad some understand . It just really ticks me off to see how some folks are so quik to judge . when i was 18 I had a litle boy on a bike run out in front of me . I hit him at 35 mph , Now the kid lived and to this day has no life altering injuries . but for that brief period of time where we dident know if he was going to make it or not was hell for me . So i feel bad for someone that has an accident like that . and it pisses me off to see people judhing that has no real idea what its all about . The best thing is to pray for both familys involved . For his to find comfort in knowing that the man is in a better place and for hers to help her through this life altering accident .

I passed that wreck yesterday on my way home, i live on Jess Smith which is at the end of Mount Gilead. From what i saw the motorcycle was almost completely underneath the explorer, the front end of the motorcycle was pointed towards Level Plains, like he was traveling on Level Plains.

To all of you who are so quick to say she was on a cell phone. Did you not read the article? It states "Investigators said neither alcohol nor cell phones were a factor in the accident. Where is the compassion for this young girl who's life forever will be changed? I pray that none of you ever have to face this type of heart ache. Maybe if you step back and think that thou by the Grace of God go I.Never judge someone else unless you can walk in their shoes.

My prayers to both familes.

I ride a motorcycle myslef and can tell you on numerous occasions where i had near misses. People in cars will look RIGHT AT YOU and then pull right out in front of you where you have to lock your brakes to avoid an accident. The thing that really gets me is that i have a headlight modulator( a device that makes your headlight flash during daylight to make you more visible to distracted or unattentive drivers) and they will still claim "sorry i didnt see you" well i hate to say it your must be F-ing blind, go get your damn eyes checked. people just are in to much of a hurry and a motorcycle, bicycle, or moped just isnt a threat to these people in cars.
