I'm praying too that those involved will recover! But, what is so disturbing is the damage the mustang sustained and then look at the damage done to the truck. You would think car manufacturers could come up with safer cars so that when accidents like this occur the cars are not completely destroyed. There will always be wrecks but if people are driving safer cars hopefully the injuries will be minimal.

You've also got to keep in mind, this was an accident, the truck did not deliberately cross the center lane to hit that car, he made a mistake. Why attack him like everyone that attacked the trooper from last week. What if it was you or your family member that caused it? We are all quilty of not paying attention and crossing the center lane and by the grace of God nothing happened so wait until you know the whole story before you start condeming!! Now if it comes back this person was under the influence of something then YES, he needs to be punished because he chose to take something that impaired his judgement, now that's a whole different situation. Before you attack put yourself in their shoes and don't forget it's not up to us to judge, that's God's job!

I agree. Those in charge will cover it up and blame someone else like they always do!!
Would you please let that go. I'm sure no family member of the incident you are refering to wants it to be displayed here on the comments any longer. Drop it!

Are you Sh*ting me? 5 wrecks in the last month, a couple was head on collisions, but nahhhh the barrier wall right there don't have no effect on some drivers. Jesus NC's police force is STUPID. I'm moving back to Florida. Who wants to come with?=D
The barrier will not move. If people pay attention and stay in their lane they will not hit each other.

My prayers are with ALL involved, including Mr. Christoe. You would think people in this part of the country (the "Bible belt") would remember this verse "judge not lest ye be judged." I am apalled at the number of people who, without knowing the facts, have condemned Mr. Christoe. Very unchristian like.

I would first like to say that my prayers go out to all involved in this terrible accident. I would also like to say it sad and pathetic to see the person posting as Hege attacking a child on his post. I know William Tysinger to be a terrific child. His spelling grammer, etc. may need some work but he is a very loving kid who was upset at the time he made his post. Could this Hege be Gerald that was just defeated in Dav. County Sheriff's race. Seems it must be because he feels he needs to belittle others to feel better about himself.

No worries - they only sent the county driver to your hospital - glad to know he will get the best care. Randolph County people need to stick together - ya'll are different. So how long is the commute from Genoa, Ohio? And for the record, I want to see all involved receive the best care but I reserve the right to my opinion of RH. Been there, done that - not impressed. I've been blessed to move from that county and before that drove out of county to avoid going back there.

A little info for you. Cars are designed to be destroyed in a hard hit. Would you rather the driver absorb the impact or the car? Go slam a '61 Chevy, Ford etc., into a wall at 35mph and see what happens. Well, you won't be able to but someone will knock out the dent, hose you out and drive it.

I agree, I drive all over this country, and my own state is my most fearful. And Greensboro is like driving through a mine field. Have lived here all my life, never could understand it. I drive a truck for a living, this state to me is 1 of the worst. Hope everyone is ok also.

In reading all of these comments, it seems to be that people think they do not ever make mistakes. Come on people, get real! How many of you have made mistakes that could have caused a serious accident, whether in a car or where ever? But by the grace of God you were spared. I have been driving for about 35 years, and I know I have been lucky on numerous occassions and had very close calls. If you do any driving at all, you all know this. Just one split second can cause an accident. And that is why its called an accident, because this is the definition of an accident:
1-an unforeseen and unplanned event or circumstance b : lack of intention or necessity : chance
2-an unfortunate event resulting especially from carelessness or ignorance.
Yes, when we have an accident is is because we were careless or did something stupid, and most of us are lucky enough that it isn't such a tragic one as this one has been....BUT WE ALL MAKE MISTAKES, quit being so judgemental.

Hey Jeff,
Have you ever looked at a map of Randolph County. It stretches all along 311 up to High Point. Are you not aware that Sophia is part of 311 and to get to the county buildings on the other side of the county, you possibly will have to drive up 311??? In case you didn't realize this, there is more than one county owned building in this county. And some of them do happen to be on the "other side" of the county.

I would have to say that you will never meet a finer young lady than Brandie. She is a great mother and is very dedicated to her children. It is a great tradegy that happened to her and we may never know why it had to happen. Just know that Brandie is a fighter and will come out of this. I definately believe in her and her strengths.
