Wow. It says you are from Canada and you turned heat/water off to a woman and children? It sounds like you are the lowlife.

No matter what you seem to think she is doing, you can't just cut off vital services.

There must be more to this story. It's hard to imagine anyone 'sneaking' into a house. You sure there isn't some kind of a mix up? Had you ever had contact with her before?

Are you serious and the cops wont do a dam thing what is this world coming to..I see you found a freeloader who knows how to use the system in her favour.Have you thought of calling the childrens aid .. make up some wild story so they have to investigate.. The childerns aid has more authority then the cops when it comes to kids welfare, when they find out this is the ways she choose to live she better get prepaired to answer a few questions.. Or she does have to go out sooner or later when she does move in yourself give her the roommate from hell...there no law states you cant live in your own place....anyways good luck

....maybe you could let a bunch of rats go in the house....they are pretty cheap and if I were her, I'd get out rather than deal with vermin.
It sickens me that 'thugs' have rights at all....
Does the property have any nieghbors....you could get them to be "very bad nieghbors" for a price probably.

That would be stooping lower than I'd like to think about and isn't it criminal to file false reports?

That man claims he shut off hydro and water to a family during a cold winter. Does no one have morals anymore? Does money really mean that much to you people?

Maybe the woman has fallen on some hard times. Have you given her a chance to explain or maybe worked out a payment plan?

I'm sure the police have their reasons.

I would prefer to walk on the far side of the street from the likes of you and that Darren Howes fellow.

I think this Darren fellow has a few untruths to his story. I've seen his posts on other sights and he keeps changing it. How dare you turn off the power and water on a single mother with kids. And you say she is the low life? I wonder what else he has done. I think she is there legally and made him angry for some reason and now he wants her out, and from the sounds of him I bet he'll do illegal things to do it.

I have a problem with a freeloader at my moms home. She took this guy in 4 years ago and his son and he was her supposed bfriend. She has treated him to anything he wanted and his son for 4 years. In late Febuary she had a major stroke, and is now very disabled and is in a nursing home. One and half hours after she was admited to the hospital he took her purse and stole all of her money and then stole all of her money from the bank. He is to this day still living in her home in thomasville freeloading off off her and the government because he receives benefits from dss because he is too lazy to work. He is also selling all of her belongs and depriving food from her grandchildren(who lived with her) and treating them horribly and being verbally abusive. The city police and the dss has been called but the refuse to do anything because they say he lives in the home and he has a right to do anything he wishes. I can only evict him through the courts, but this will take several months and by the time i will finally get him to leave everything will be gone. I dont know what to do anymore, what kind of world do we live in when some who is 64 and he is 50 can take advantage of a situation and get by with such crimes.
Hi - sounds like a troubling story. I'm on this post because I'm producing an episode for a new talk show that deals with this topic - out of control freeloaders. Would you care to bring this story to our new TV show? It would be handled with the utmost respect. If so, please feel free to e-mail me at rgoldman@billcunninghamshow.co m

If you decide not to contact me, I wish you a speedy and just resolution to this problem.

My Cousin moved in with my Aunt. Initially he locked himself in the basement and trashed it he was like a monster. Threating her etc. He has become ill and on oxygen and has now moved into the den and trashed it as well as the bathroom. Orginally she tryed to have him evicted but the courts said since he was her son, and they didn't have a lease she just had to deal with it. Something wrong with that picture. I know being afraid of him she has enabled him to live there, and if she doesnt take some care of him the rest of her house will be distroyed. She is the caregiver without pay. He received SS Disability but does not contribute just expects her to pay for everything. She is in her 70's wants her house back so she can sell it and move into senior housing. How can she get rid of him? She feels the only way she can get away is if she dies. This is so sad.

Simple. Beat the living f**k out of him. Of course, get others to do it and have them do it in the middle of the night as part of a "home invasion."

Actually, that's incorrect. He was allowed to establish residence, by the tenant/homeowner, and regardless of a lease would need to be evicted by NC law.
But here's a thought. Does your mom have all the utilities in her name? If she's in a nursing home, why not cut them all off? Let him stay in a dark, cold house with no water, see if that speeds up the process a bit.
This person is absolutely correct once you allow a person to move into your home be it for free or small compensation for bills and expenses even if they stop paying they are there to stay, without going through an eviction process.
Do as he say's leave them in the dark, without water and so on.
If the person lives in your home with your family even is he/she is a expense you can't afford they have more rights then you think.
1. move them to the garage and make them sleep on the floor.
2. forbid them from eating your food (lock the garage door if possible)to the interior home turn of circuit breaker to garage at night.
3. forbid the use of TV's, Computers etc.
4.Forbid the use of showers or bathrooms in general.
5. prevent them from using your stove, frig, water from the sink anything.
Make their life a living Hell.(pardon my french)
And still apply for that eviction notice if necessary when they live have them take everything they own (otherwise they can claim it's their place of residents.
Never allow them back into your home no matter how hungry they are, how cold they claim to be unfortunately this includes your adult children.
Oh and return any mailed sent to your home for them.

Some may say that's awful but we have given our Daughter 6 chances to grow up yet she gets her first paycheck with our help.
Then returns to drugs, alcohol and the lying and it's non of our business.
while drunk she attacked our 16 year old Daughter in the recent past and I should of had her thrown it jail then stupid me.
Don't wait until it's to late many care for no one but themselves.

the easist way to get rid of a free loader is to go to the police station and make up a couple of stories. Get the case # and file for a restraining order out of house sameday cost free

To Darren Howes

Get some big male friends, Go over to your house and move the broad's crap on to the street. I think the cops gave you the lazy answer. Then - very important - CHANGE Your Locks! Don't think you will have any problem after that, although you may need to watch your house for a while

. Wow. I am also a carpet layer. Our tools is how we provide for ourselves. You wanted him to move? You just gave him 800 more reasons to stay

If some guy,a"carpetlayer"or not, won't get out of my house, his"tools"will be the LEAST of his worries.I take that seriously,I won't be asking advice on how to get him out.Is there anyone else out there that takes a situation like that seriously?I can't be the only one.

When you deal with trash you have to stoop to their level and speak their language. Make HIS life a living hell. Hidden cameras, tapped phones, a little something in the food to help him have a public bowel movement.Set him up with drugs, selling his ebt[which EVERY freeloader does} pay someone to speak the "international language" to him aka a good ole fashion ass whipping. If you can't do it legally then do whatever it takes or get used to it.

I allowed an elderly friend who needed help move her mobile home on my land with a special exemption until " she died or could not take care of herself". For free.
Now she has alhizmers and should be in a nursing home. She refuses to go.
She now has the option to move in with a woman and pay $800.00 / month with her 3 dogs.
The problem is now they want to dig up my yard (16 feet from my front door) and remove her chain link fence and deck to her mobile home to this woman's house.
I told them they could not dig up the fence/ deck and leave holes on my yard, but they are determined.
Now, I am thinking of evicting her, in effort to stop them from destroying my yard.
We are in Ms.
Can I evict her?
