The Catholic Church is not a democracy, nor should it be. Spread the word, encourage vocations and fill the pews. Stop letting modernism & liberalism dictate the Church's agenda. Time to go on the offense and make the lessons of the Church mean something.
Complaining about change does nothing, accept what happens and make yourself better for it.

i see.. we have no voice in this closing we are supposed to sit down , shut up and do whatever we are told.. just as long as we make our weekly offerings in the collection plate. They shut down our schools, close our churches.. Maybe they should close some rectory's and let them all stay in a central place instead of closing our churches

There is not much "pastoring" and "shepherding" going on in my part of the Allentown Diocese. I cannot believe how worldly these ordained ones have become! They treat us like slaves. There is so little respect for us, yet our money is good enough for them to take to live comfortable lifestyles. Whatever happened to the concept that religious leaders are to SERVE the people? Now they plan a church closing of gigantic and unimaginable proportions. The bishop and the vicar forane of Schuylkill County will have much to answer for in the afterlife.

I have a v e r y old photo of a newlywed couple, Frank Lamont and Mary Billett dated Aug, 1929. If you know anyone from either of these families. please let me know so I can see if they want this old photo. It appears to have been taken at their wedding. It was in an oval frame I got at a garage sale, I only needed the frame.

I have an original small painting by Frank Lamont that I found in my Mothers personl effects. It belonged to her Mother.
Is there any site that lists his paintings? It is very vague in style, but nice.
I can be contacted at [email protected]

Because the heads of the Catholic Church are like the Pharisees of Jesus day. All they want is the honor, presige, and MONEY!!!
