I have seen pretty dogs and cats too! if it just takes being pretty, you guys should be replaced by animals. My dog would look real cute in a little skirt and pom poms. Well your step daughter mad it. Didn't she??

First of all, we're not trashing the girls, we're trashing the system that picks inferior talent. The system is broke nand needs to be fixed. It's a known FACT that if your parent is a teacher, administrator, etc. and you try out for a particular sport or activity, you will make it regardless of your talent or lack of talent! There are numerous examples of this almost every year. I know for a fact that 2 years ado there was a kid on the middle school soccer team that only made it because his parents work for the school system. There were better and more talented kids that didn't make it and should have. As was brought up earlier, there were high school cheerleaders caught drinking on the school bus on the way to a ballgame and they received a slap on the wrist because a parent was a teacher. Coincidence? Not hardly! If that had been another kid, they would have received a much harsher punishment. There are so many more examples of this preferential treatment that they can't even be listed here!! Don't be ignorant and act like it doesn't happen because it does - all the time!! You adults trashing middle school girls should be ashamed. Talk about the leaders, judges, and the school system all you want but leave the girls out of it. I agree the girls need a little help but no one is perfect. If you are so worried about what the girls look like I am sure the sponsors would appreciate your help any day. I mean, since you are a Gold Olympic Medalist Cheerleader yourself. Let young girls be young girls and enjoy their life. Sorry for your daughter not making it and hopeful she will find something she can excel at.

And sorry, but there is no cheerleading category in the Olympics so there are no gold medalist cheerleaders!! LOL! And I don't have a daughter but if I did I wouldn't allow her to be a cheerleader! Perhaps counseling or certain meds can assist you. Hope your life improves--
