"Dr" Jim Williams
Great Doctor

Just because he's only 48 doesn't mean someone hasn't known him for 40 years. Quit being so mean. He's the best doctor in the county and everyone has bad experiences but I can tell you, he and his father both are/were good people. I go, have gone, and will continue to go there. Rather go there and be treated like a human than go to Jackson and just be a number.

<quoted text>No maybe you are right. BUT I dont think so seeing that he still has a license. Go to TN State Board of License Verification and type him in. You will see he has no claims of malpractice or liability. I do my research. A Dr. cannot be as bad as you all are making him out to be if he still has a license and still practices. Right, Right? Oh and don't you worry about me meeting my maker. If its my time to go no Dr. can stop it and if its not my time to go no Dr. can make it happen. BUT thanks for the concern.
Very well said!

I have been to Jim Williams ONE time and I refuse to go back. Had an MRI done in '08 and Angie diagnosed me with a bulged disc, degenerative disc disease and pinched nerve. It was painful then and has progressively gotten worse. 3 years later, he looked at the same MRI (Angie was gone by then) and said he couldn't even see anything wrong with it (even though his nurse saw it as well) and refused to refer me to get another MRI done. Gave me ibuprofen and a shot of cortisone in my hip. Granted, I don't want any kind of strong medicine, he still should have done a more thorough exam or referred me to cover all his bases. He just seemed more to me like he was in a rush to get me out of his office. Very snobby, slim to zero amount of people skills. His dad was a good man, from what I have been told. I know the man delivered me when Trenton still had a L&D wing. But he seems to be completely impersonal and in my opinion, when you run a clinic or work with the public period, you have to be a bit more compassionate, yes a little reserved, but stop treating everyone who comes in there like all they want is a fix. Some of us actually want good medical help. I prefer Natalie Wendt over any practitioner there. More personable and more understanding.

For the record, Dr Kevorkian never had any malpractice lawsuit or claim against him either. Just saying...

People wake up to the reality that the medical field is a SERVICE industry. You are the customer! If you don't like your experience with a provider, then change! Just like you would with a plumber, hair stylist, electrician, etc. Don't like McDonalds? Go to Wendy's!! The man obviously has a thriving practice which indicates he is doing something right and as noted--keeps his licenses current. Get over it!

The thriving practice is a joke and full of PILL FREAKS..and that was the problem the other 2 people had with him..they werent looking for DRUGS! If they had of went in there looking for hydros, he would have treated them well, because then he would have a guarantee that they would be back. If he sends them to another Dr for a second opinion, they wont be back. That simple!! He is a QUACK and an IDIOT and an enabler for every drug addict in this town!!!!!

Yep, I have known him since school. He's always been a jerk, a smart ass, and just a piece of trash! He supplied Peabody High School with all the drugs everybody ever wanted. And he did them right along with the people he supplied.

SOUNDS LIKE THIS THREAD SHOULD BE CALLED "SO CALLED PATIENT".....only 2 doctors in my life have impressed me with their ability to care and spend a bit of time listening to you, Dr Kenneth Warren from Jackson, and Dr Jim Williams from Trenton (and i have high expectations when i go to a doctor). best i can tell someone didn't get their pill fix and they are mad about it. don't go to Dr Jim if you expect to be treated poorly, don't go to Dr Jim for your pill fix, and you will be impressed. now the front staff, that's up for debate, but that seems to be an issue everywhere ive been.....jealous haters on here trying to stir up trouble for nothing.

Dr. Jim has always been great. I've been going to him since high school after his father passed. And speaking of great, his father was as well.

I have been a patient of Dr. Jim's for many years. He has always spent time with me and never rushed me. If you nhave something going on {heart, lungs, head, kidneys, ect. ]he is there to refer you to a specialist. Which he has done for me several times. The heart dr. he refered me to recently was excellent and fixed my heart problem.Dr.Jim is a primary care dr.and a very good one at that!
