On Monday March 5th, U.S. District Court Judge Benson Everett Legg, of the 4th Circuit in Maryland issued a ruling in the case Woollard v. Sheridan that declared as un-constitutional a Maryland State Law regarding the discretionary "justifiable need" clause pertaining to concealed carry permits for firearms requested by law abiding citizens.Full Story

I am not as optimistic. The district court could decide to reverse the decision on the forthcoming appeal in which case there is no conflict for the Supreme Court to rule on. If it does go to the Supreme Court, I am sure the ruling will be so narrowly crafted that it will have zero impact on either NJ or NY.
Sorry, I've been around too long to expect earth shattering change when it comes to restrictive gun laws. Just look at DC. That will take decades to sort out if ever.
