I think regulating something that fully and understandably makes someone feel better is just not very HUMANE in my opinion I think the dogs at the humane society get treated better than us humans when it comes to illness or pain, and thats getting put down! either let Doctor Kavorkion back or legalize Hemp! Oh! I forget this is America and that would make to much sense.

Oh! I forget this is America and that would make to much sense. Your last line speaks volumes. I am quite certain that the general public thinks that if a bill like this is passed, people will be sitting around and getting high. That is so not true. Marijuana can be baked in cookies or food, so the effects can be had without smoking. My cousin has M.S. Because of his condition, his hands and legs shake sometimes, but when he smokes, it goes away. People with cancer and Aids can benefit from this. They can't eat, but smoking marijuana will help. It makes sense, so it probably won't happen. I bet if many of our politicians had family members that could benefit from this, laws would be passed instantly. If that sounds cynical, it is only because it is!!

People are already sitting around and getting high. It doesn't matter if it's legalized or not. It really ought to be though. The problem is (for the gov't) is that marijuana is so easy to grow and it doesn't need to be developed in a lab. This is a threat to pharmaceutical companies..that is the real reason why it's so hard to legalize. The other issue is that more than ever kids and adults alike are getting high on oxycontin and other prescription medicines. Why have these harsher drugs not been taken care of?? again, back to the healthcare system and pharmaceutical companies that have their hand in the pockets of lawmakers and decision makers.

It's about time NJ woke up. I hope it will be legal to use Marijuana in all states some day. I'm a chronic pain patient that has severe muscle spasms due to my back and Fibromyalgia. I've went to pain management Doctor's and they had put me on Oxycontin and so many other medications to where it had me in zombie land and even made me very depressed so I used Marijuana at times to stop the depression and pain I endured. When the Pain Management Doctor's found Marijuana in my system they dropped me as a patient for fear they would lose their license to practice. That actually was a God sent because at the time I was on all those medication's I felt more pain then I do now. I would rather use Marijuana for my medication than any other medication out there. At times I need to take one percocet a day when the pain gets to bad but not everyday. So I hope NJ will pass this law. I need someone in my corner for a change.
