Marriage is like a painting owned by a family? And gay marriage would be like gay people forcibly entering the family home and destroying the painting?? WHAT???

That description is everything that is wrong with the anti-gay position.

An heirloom painting hanging in the family home is the PROPERTY of that family.

But marriage does NOT belong to one family! It is not your personal possession, to be hoarded from everyone else! You have to SHARE!! Do whatever you want with your VERSION of the painting that you've brought to your home, but don't pretend that what someone else does with THEIR version will have any affect on yours.

A more accurate analogy, using marriage as a precious painting, would be one that describes it as hanging in a PUBLIC gallery, NOT a private home, while fundamentalist extremists and bigots cordon off the gallery, and only allow "approved" people to come in for a look.

Well, their time as guardians of the gallery is ending. They couldn't do it right, with a 50% divorce rate and rampant discrimination. Time for people who know how to be fair, compassionate and inclusive to be put in charge.

Funny, but that painting still exists, but now there are black people married to white people as well. Did that ruin the painting? No, there it still hangs on the wall. Seems that the painting is able to change over time. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for her thinking.

Homosexual 'marriage' is a cruel lie with no real basis in how homosexual live!

No significant percent of the homosexual population has 'married' in ANY country that allows it, and studies have shown that few such 'marriages' are even exclusive relationships.

The homosexual 'marriage' movement is a hate based political charade attacking what others hold sacred.

No homosexual relationship shares the reasons for government involvement in real marriage. No economically or physically unequal genders are involve. No child is ever born as a direct result, and no such relationship can provide a child with a father and mother. Having both is one of the most accurate statistical predictions of a child's future success in life.

Homosexual themselves overwhelmingly reject 'marriage' as an actual practice in EVERY country that allows the concocted oxymoron.
