Jan 20, 2014 Full story: Detroit News 79

Trenton, N.J. - The Democratic mayor of a town severely flooded by Superstorm Sandy said Sunday that she was told an ultimatum tying recovery funds to her support for a prime real estate project came directly from GOP Gov. Chris Christie, a claim a Christie spokesman called 'categorically false.'

McDonnelll is a got darn fool.......... he traded in a stellar reputation for a ride in a Ferrari and, an Expensive watch and shopping trip for his hungry wife. He should be sentenced to 30 years, 4 for having sticky fingers, and 26 for being an idiot.

He actually things trading favors for those gives isn't a crime. He was willing to push snake oil for the salesmen friend and was willing to push it off onto State employees......... he and the cook had a blow up with regard to creating special menus for McDonnell and the carpetbagger friend........

This is 100% low down dirty scandal.......... nothing make believe like the Republicans were trying to create with Issa in his Kangaroo Courts with Benghazi & NSA.

Yea you're right. Accepting gifts from donors is almost the same as 4 dead Americans st the hands of terrorists. But you go ahead and act like being shot and burned to death as being the same as illegal gifts. Hyperbole much? I bet those Tyrone Wood's mother and father feel the same way. You sir, are a sick individual to assume terrorism is equal to a Gov taking a watch as a gift. And to think people like you vote.

It pales in comparison to the fleecing of America by liberals.

Did you see michelle antoinette's 50th birthday party? It cost far more than this guy is accused of absconding.

Liberals complain that Republicans waste money on defense. Yes, we spend lots on defense, but it's bought the best military in the world. Liberals would rather spend the money on welfare and prisons. The money never seems to make it to the people who need it though. This is because they've turned our schools and legal system into rackets.

This makes two parents of men killed in Benghazi who’ve claimed that Hillary told them personally that the video was the prime mover in the attack. Tyrone Woods’s father went a step further and alleged that she vowed to have the filmmaker “arrested and prosecuted”— which, courtesy of California authorities, is what ended up happening.(See Rich Lowry’s new piece,“The Benghazi Patsy,” for background.) Why did she think it was some sort of comfort to the bereaved that the attack might have been motivated by the Mohammed movie? She went so far as to mention it in her remarks a few days afterward at the ceremony at Andrews AFB when the victims’ bodies arrived; skip to 16:30 here and watch. With Stevens’s remains right in front of her, she interrupted her praise for his service to note that “rage and violence” had been directed at American embassies “over an awful Internet video that we had nothing to do with.” Even if that were true, who cares? Why would Mr. Woods or Mrs. Smith give a wet shinola about what motivated a group of degenerates to kill their kids? State’s duty to protect its diplomats doesn’t dissolve depending upon whether an attack was foreseeable — which of course it was in the case of Benghazi, given the consulate’s repeated warnings about a growing jihadi presence in the city. Her whole “3 a.m.” shtick in the 2008 campaign was that she was ready for responsibilities that Obama wasn’t prepared for, yet when a crisis finally landed in her lap here, she couldn’t move fast enough to pass the buck to some random American whose big sin was free speech that was “unhelpful” to the administration’s goals.

Maybe Christie's 2016 goose is cooked, but he's hardly a bully. A bully attacks the weak and defenseless, which is a far cry from Christie fighting back against a biased media and political operatives, who are anything but weak and/or defenseless. I heard it put best a few days ago; paraphrased--"he's no bully--he's bold."

Wood, Smith, and Stevens are dead because of Republican priorities and spending cuts to the State Department's Funding.

Those details were highlighted in the initial report of Benghazi, parading the dead bodies of the victims of the Republican slaughter in Benghazi lays on the hands of all of those Republicans that voted for those cuts in funding that impeded their ability to hire capably trained security contractors.

Issa and the Republicans are blowing smoke with Benghazi to change the narrative away from them being responsible for those deaths and lack of security.

McDonnell selling his dignity and the seal of Virginia to enrich himself was a personal choice seeking to profit and benefit for himself and his money grubbing family members....... True he broke no State Laws, but he definitely broke federal laws.

McDonnell is no different that Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich and I expect McDonnell will be trying desperately to deflect responsibility for his greed and mis-dealings......

Last I heard McDonnell is blaming his indictment on President Obama and AG Holder.......... how bizarre is that........

You've gone completely insane........

we aren't discussing looting by way of the Industrial War Complex, we're discussing another Republican caught with his fat hands in the cookie jar and trading in his dignity and the people's trust for peanuts and a ride in a Ferrari and Chicken Dinner among an array of assorted gifts and sweeteners solicited illegally.

You guys come up with the most senseless and outrageous BS to refute Truth........

As a Virginia resident, here's my bid for the illegally solicited Golf Club after the conviction, hopefully prior to the auction of the McDonnell ill gotten gains.

I"m anxious to here what McDonnell's mentor, Pat Robertson has to say about McDonnell's criminal and thugish activities

The above is utter bull, but then if your liberal your lying.

"while Boxer claims that Republicans “cut” the budget, she is only comparing it to what the Obama administration proposed. The reality is that funding for embassy security has increased significantly in recent years."

Equally significant and ignored by Boxer is the fact that the evidence is clear on this point. The ARB report does suggest an increase in funding for security but does not claim lack of funding was an issue in Benghazi. Also, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Charlene Lamb was asked directly about this during her congressional testimony last October:

Asked to explain the contradiction between her claims and reality, aides to Sen. Boxer sent Kessler a link to a NY Times editorial.

Kessler concludes "it is almost as if Boxer is living in a time warp, repeating talking points from six months ago that barely acknowledge the fact that extensive investigations have found little evidence of her claim..."

The administration and its allies keep pushing this claim, not because it was ever true but because they have nothing else. The media needs to be more forceful about rebutting this claim whenever it pops out of the mouths of Democrats seeking to defend the administration.
