When my wife and I get as old as our parents, we may be crying uncle or wolf but only if our parents do. If we can stay healthy, we can thank God for preserving us. Sounds good, doesn't it? Well this here in which last weekend, we witnessed a surprising flurry of activity on Capitol Hill regarding health care. As you know, the House version of health care reform passed by a very slim margin, but not before the House reluctantly adopted the Stupak-Pitts amendment--one of the strongest pro-life statements in years. While we remain deeply troubled by the overall impact the current health care proposals could have on our families and our freedoms, you should be encouraged by the fact that pro-life issues were at the center of the debate--and there's no doubt this was the result of the pro-life outcry from across this country. At a crucial moment in the debate over health care, pro-life voices could not be silenced! But this battle is far from over but we do give our president credit for encouraging the bureaucrats to do better for us.
