Students Bring Alcohol To Middle School, Officials Say - News S...

Nine students at Redland Middle School are being disciplined after alcohol was brought to the school Wednesday morning, according to Montgomery County Public Schools spokeswoman Kate Harrison.

Lets see does this school have a problem. The principal is all of a sudden retiring. Just last week some boys were injured during school hours playing on or near a soccer goal post. And MCPS has constatnly denied this school contruction funding for fixing a enviroment where learning is a problem. Can you wonder why the parents who have advocated to address displine issues, construction issues and leadership issues at this school all of a sudden find themselves shelling out the money to go to a brand new school such as Good Council. Neglect by the school system on a problem has gone on way to long here. Wake up Dr. Weast and Mrs. Navaro, your inability to show leadership is a glaring weakness.

I mean...after senior week in High School, we bought drinks to school and got sent home early. lol back in 1996! Middle schoolers? Wow. Um....WHAT THE H*@LL IS GOING ON?

1, The students will get a letter from DJJ telling them, "Don't do it again", and they will go about their lives like nothing happened.

2. The parents will refuse to take any responsibility for their childrens' actions and claim innocence all so the children can get into a "good college".

3. Dr. Weast will get a raise from Council Member Phil Andrews because he's doing such a good job saving money by not addressing school problems. Phil Andrews will then cancel raises to all of the working stiffs so he can pay Weast.

I can not believe people blame the teachers and schools for such action. The parents need to keep the alcohol locked up and out of reach of the kids today. It doesn't matter if it cough medicine, alcohol, mouth wash, etc. they will try to get a high from something... But to bring it to school they are brave little kids...
