Articles here copied from the blog as an addendum to the current news. ASSOCIATE PRESS UPDATE AS OF 3/10/09: MEDFORD, Ore.- An arsonist is apparently on the prowl for green Ford Escorts from the 1990s. Three of them have been burned in recent weeks, a series of acts that Medford police Sgt. Mike Budreau described as "pretty bizarre." A 1995 green Ford Escort was destroyed by flames early Sunday morning after someone broke a window and poured flammable liquid into it. A similar fire was set in a 1993 green Ford Escort parked in a driveway on Feb. 22. Investigators have also uncovered a Feb. 2 case of a 1992 green Ford Escort damaged by a plastic container filled with flammable liquid placed next to a tire that burned without setting the car afire. GENEVA, Ala.- A gunman went on a shooting spree in two neighboring south Alabama towns Tuesday, killing nine people before he shot himself at a metals plant, authorities said. State police and Geneva Mayor Geneva Mayor Wynnton Melton said that 10 people were dead, including the gunman. More people were believed to have been wounded. A spokeswoman at Flowers Hospital in Dothan said two children were airlifted to Children's Hospital of Alabama in Birmingham. With the congruent or same in principle behaviors of Geneva and Medford, this is a microcosm of what to expect in the general public. Go to fbi.gov and get a complete index. |

1 Article from the Montgomery County Police Update: "When SCHOOL leads to SCUM, MONEY leads to MURDER" according to one of our detectives. A concert held in the memory of a murdered teen ended in violence Saturday night. Montgomery County Police officials tell 9 NEWS NOW they had to send officers to break up a fight that broke out at the concert that was being held on Ellsworth Street in Silver Spring. The free youth concert was hosted and sponsored by community organizations who say the event was held in the memory of Tai Lam, a 14-year-old who was shot and killed on a Ride-On bus in November of 2008. The organizers say they wanted to use the event to promote non-violence. Officials say extra law enforcement personnel were brought in to handle the large number of concert goers at the outdoor venue. In addition to Montgomery County Police, officers from the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office, the Metro Transit Police Department, and the Maryland-National Capital Park Police, Montgomery County Division also helped restore order after the altercation. A total of 16 adults and juveniles were arrested for various offenses including assault and disorderly conduct. Police say most of the attendees acted peacefully. No serious injuries were reported. |

It's too easy to fall prey to prejudice and xenophobia. Yes, it lies deep inside all of us, you, me, everyone. Although it does seem that some of these gang members from Latin America have a tendency to act out in violence, the same could be said of the inner city neighborhood crews, or even some of the young kids up in the smaller towns in rural America. Remember, not long ago, it was the Itallians and Irish who were thought of as "scum" or "unclean". If we have learned anything from the horrible violence that happened yesterday at the holocaust museum in DC, if you harbor hate in your heart, it WILL eventually consume you. Now that does not mean that we should not have strong courts and Law Enforcement...The ones who commited this heinous act must pay for the crimes they commited. However, the youths that can still be saved must be engaged. Remember, they are turning to gangs because they are treated like crap by us!!! If we can make them feel like they have a say in the community, perhaps we can all get along...(I know, it sound naive to some of you, but the alternative is not acceptable). May the peace of Christ be on all of you, and remember...do onto others as you would have done to you.

The Associated Press News Update Report: Prince George's County Police Officer Charged in Burglary posted 8:19 am Fri June 12, 2009 - TEMPLE HILLS, Md. from (AP) News - George's County Police believe that a county police officer provided the tools and transportation in a Temple Hills bank burglary. Officers were called to the SunTrust Bank in the 4600 block of Old Branch Avenue around 3:40 a.m. Wednesday for a report of a man inside the bank. A suspect was found and arrested and police say their investigation led to burglary charges against Cpl. Eddie Smith Jr. The 16-year veteran of the force assigned to the bureau of patrol has been suspended without pay. Meanwhile, at the Temple Hills Sun Trust bank where the burglary occurred, the allegation that a police officer is behind the scheme hit customers like a ton of bricks. "The world's coming to an end. That's it. If they doing it, my God and now this time of year that the cops are committing crimes, gang criminals are going to have a fieldday by going out at night and committing crimes left and right, one crime right after the other.," said Herb Batts, a bank customer. "It's a sign of the times...who you can trust? I believe that with the crime, the world is coming to an end eventually. People are now going to have to take matters in their own hands or move to a different neighborhood if something happens." said Ercelle Lewis, a bank customer. According to official statements and information from sources, detectives believe Smith used his patrol car to drive an accomplice to the bank late Wednesday night. They also believe Smith provided the power tools used to break into a safe. It's alleged they cut power and alarm lines to the bank, and when the alarm sounded, Smith pretended to respond and declared an 'all clear' to police dispatch. Its is also alleged that hours later he stood watch as his cohort attempted to break into the ATM inside the bank . The pair was caught only because a passing fire truck reported a suspicious scene. As a result, the 16-year veteran cop was arrested and charged. "It's something that's disheartening to us; one bad cop tarnishes the badge we all wear but this time of year, more of this will soon happen and our department will have to contend with this new kind of crime," said Police Spokesman Maj. Andy Ellis. At Smith's large home in Fort Washington, a newer model Mercedes and a full size pickup sit in the driveway. The back of the home houses a custom built three car garage but he may become angry and belligerent and threaten the judge in the courtroom due to prospects of losing his estate and his family as a result of this serious crime against the bank. Sources tell AP News that Smith is now a prime suspect in many similar burglaries going back several years, and that he's been under suspicion for some time now. But his neighbors say they that he took things from them too since that they came home to find things missing from their homes. Police Chief Roberto Hylton says he's disheartened by the charges and will not tolerate wrongdoing by any member of the agency but within the last month, he got calls of "crooked cops on the beat as well as harrassment and brutality of motorists on the roads" and as the spring and summer progress, Hylton said that he expects the number of cases to rise significantly. Officials say an internal investigation will be conducted by the department's Special Investigative Response Team. |

the level of education and intelligence that separate Gary and PC is BS is readily apparent. PC is BS presents valid and engaging discourse while Gary rambles racist talking points.
Gary, when does the rush limbaugh program run and on what radio station? advance your thought process, educate yourself (to think beyond what the media presents) and stop listening to rush, hannity, beck, o'reilly, etc., and then maybe you wouldn't be in the position to compete with illegal immigrants, protected species, black knuckle dragging morons and other elements at the bottom pit of society for jobs. or is it too late? |

As a word of caution, you should be making sure that your maintenence employees are safe in the courthouse after hours since that street gang hoodlums that are against law enforcement may want to sneak in the building to rob and attack some of your employees. Having security at the courthouse after hours will be a good protocol due to crime on the streets and prospects of criminals entering the courthouse during the night hours. A WORD OF GOOD ADVISE AND CAUTION: |
