McCaffery Village Reunion

Hey, everyone from the West End stopped posting on OldChesterPa.com like in 2003 and I say we all head to Harrah's for a reunion. Kind of like we used to at the West End boat club, Sbandi's, Brownies, Rube's, McCloskey's but this time we can gamble and drink.
Where are the Heffner's, Kershinski's, Snarr's, Moyer's, the Culver girls, Burn's, Blades, Shearer's, Redden's, Chandler's, Supplee's, Garvey's, Kiner's, Bates', Rugers, one of them was a drummer he could gig there, Wooter's, Gene and Space Palmer, Laird's and hot Helen, Sawyer's, Retay's, Navin's, Silva's, Linda and Terry cannot remember your last name and your brother!
Let's do it!

I'm afraid that it is a very filthy and smelly place of which your fondly speak. Who would want to celebrate low-class degenerate alcoholics and disability milkers who smoke in their cars with the windows rolled up and no air circulating?

Let's try to sweep this stuff under the rug. It's not like anyone from these place ever did anything with his or her life, it seems most of these sleazy people are burdens on society.

If I was unfortunate enough to have ever lived in such a scummy area, I wouldn't tell anyone, I would just make up a better history and move on, like some fuzzy Eastern European Prospect Park patriarch of poop whose sons are all bums and who anglicized his last name so he didn't appear to be the villager that he is.

I remember all those names mentioned, Burns is that TIna or Jimmy know them well and thier cousin's the Hess's. Is that Wooters as in Linda? Moyers one son has big biz in N.J. Does, anyone remember Bonnie Rous or Diane Weaver? The Harington's from the Garden's they are all gone all five children but on still alive family illness got them all very young. Debbie Cox, the Voyer's Rach and Jimmy oh yeah and Eddie. The pages, The Moonies? The Grants who doesn't remember all those girl Athelets, Mary Lou etc Kathy died young. Mary Lou. alot of good came from living in Chester and alot of good people who have gone far. Like the Zack girl from the Highland Gardens who marriage Sly Stone. Just what the sign said what Chester makes Chester every one had a choice most became very fine outstanding citizens.
have a wonderfurrrrrrrrrrrrrr day all =^..^=rina

I used to buy heroin there in the 70's. There was a dealer named Mr. Larry who looked like Jerry Garcia, he had the best smack south of New York City. I would get so zonked outside his house in my car that I would fall asleep at the wheel on the way home. The trick was to drink a little bit of whiskey, if you got stopped by the police they would think you were drunk, not riding the horse.

Anyone now if Mr. Larry is still around? I'd love to catch up with him.

Just heard today about the reunion. I still have five sisters and one brother left, and we will all be there. Loved growing up in Chester. I still go in to visit my family in the area. People can say what they want about Chester. No matter where you live, there are social problems. I live out in Chester County in a beautiful area and Chester County also has it's downfall. Hope to see a lot of old friends at the reunion. Remember, never forget where you came from. It defines who you are.

hey my fellow red brickers,I,m a little late finding this site, dead brain cells is all I can blame it on. This is for that pathetic Lotto Lover, I feel sorry for you that you can not see the beauty in this journey through life growing up in the projects, all the good and bad expierences and the bonding of that whole era of people is who we were and are. Myself I made a lot of bad choices thru it all,but learn from them and move on.hope you find some peace . Families like Ross, Grant, Netherly (sue) Mckinney,Nolans, Chuck my best friend even beyond the project years,RIP. Chuck.Spears Culhanes Pannico (kathy, joan, bobbiee
My next door neighbor Cathy Kiner (whom I had a crush on. Good choice tho in john hefner, cathy.
I want to say to all the people I grew up with in the projects, thanks for being a part of my journey through this often sad, cold, lonely world, for all things in life have a purpose including that/. rich webb

Hey Rob, who ever you are,did you live in the projects,if not you missed out on the most loyal people in the world, just because we weren't born with a silver spoon in our mouth we were raised to respect people and not bash people because of where they came from,My family was a well respected family then and now along with all the other people who grew up there,I live in a big home in the country, have a little land, worked hard all my life,as my sisters and brother did,and if you knew any of the residents that grew up there you would know they have pretty good lives themselves, there are drug additcs losers scumbags in every town even your town,so chill out read a good book,or maybe come to the next reunion I had a great time this year, and since you are so close you know like springfield pa, thats the pot calling the kettle black, maybe you would like some of us, Maybe you shouldn't judge a book by its cover.may God Bless everyone who grew up in McCaffery village,
