My question, Paul, is do we really need a third WalMart superstore in Jackson County? They plan to close the Talent WalMart which serves a lot of people who don't necessarily want to go into a superstore to do their WalMart shopping. The Talent WalMart serves a lot of seniors in Ashland and Talent. Its parking lot is always full and the store has a lot of people shopping all the time. The SuperStores in Medford and in Eagle Point also draw a lot of shoppers, so do we really need a third one? In the area where they want to build we already have Winco, Fred Meyer, and some strip malls. Do we have enough population here to support another warehouse-type store, especially one that doesn't have a good track record of fairness to their employees? Just asking.
