1,000 Manteca churchgoers hit streets to serve city

Hundreds of congregants in jeans and green T-shirts - with "Takin' it to the Streets" printed on them - gathered Sunday at Crossroads Grace Community Church, where they divided into groups and went out to plant trees, paint fire hydrants, pull weeds and evangelize.
