Art Vandalay wrote: THIS GUY WAS A GANG BANGER! Wake up people! Who the hell, in their right mind, would be walking Palm Circle at that hour? You reap what you sew, I'm sorry. It's sad he was killed but what do you expect. It's like a gang member being murdered in Compton and people being surprised. Palm Circle isn't exactly upper-middle class, it's the PROJECTS! Wake up! FYI, my brother was not a gang banger. He was mixed up with some people who were in a gang, but he himself was not a member of said gang. Get your facts right. First of all, if he had been a member of a gang he would not have been killed outright for the things that led up to his death, and secondly, 42 is a bit old to be initiated into a gang. I will reiterate, I do not believe that Steve was in this park of his own free will based on the information I have pieced together since his death. Why don't you go pick on someone who is alive and can defend himself? Why the hell do you crawl out of the woodworks now to slam him? You think it hurts me and my parents any less just because 8 months have passed? Why don't you crawl back into the hole you slithered out of?

I think the problem is that he was on meth.
Plain, simple, tragic. His drug of choice is one of the very worst unfortunately. A very hard drug to keep a level head on obviously. If you stay on meth long enough, something terrible will undoubtedly happen to you.
I think if Steve could say something to other people out there, he would point to his own tragic demise, and ask that if you are using meth, to quit now while you still can, and get your life on track through rehab or whatever it takes, so that you don't end up like Steve did or a similar tragic event.
Whatever people get out of using meth,(energy, sexual sides etc), it sure the hell isn't worth it. And it will only lead to you hurting or killing yourself and/or other innocent people.
It's a terrible, nasty, and mind warping drug of the most powerful kind.
Sorry Steve, I wish you could have gotten out of that scene before this happened to you. I'll remember you the way you were when we used to hang out in school. A funny, and intelligent guy, who liked to live life on the edge at times. I was there myself and am probably lucky to have not ended up like Steve did.
Peace Steve.

My Theories First, they are never going to catch the killer(s).This case is cold. I suspect that this a drug deal go bad and Perhaps the killer is another addict like this guy. who knows what can happened when you are wired like that

Steven was an ex of mine from high school some 20 odd years ago. It was only at a reunion this past weekend that I learned of his untimely and disturbing death. I'd lost contact with him over the years, but whenever I'd run into our common friends they'd tell me that he still spoke of having a crush on me. Talk about flattery! Steven was a generous, kind hearted, fun loving yet sickly addicted man. I'm so sorry he never had the opportunity to know how wonderful a sober life could be. He'll always be remembered fondly. I wish he could have met my husband and our 2 children. They'd have loved their "Uncle Steve." In all sincerity and with sympathy, Tiffany

I can't help but wonder, after reading your post, if I have a nephew. I would really like to know. As far as my parents and I know, Steve never had any children. However, if he did, I would love to be a part of their lives. I miss my brother terribly, and would love to know that a part of him lives on. I am not trying to be creepy or scare you into thinking I'm the kind of person who would try to take a child from his/her mother. I just want to be a good aunt if Steve did have a child. Please look me up on either myspace or facebook.

hey necron99,no one is pretending about anything, especialy of there being an offspring of Steves. It is a misunderstanding of words.might i suggest that you keep your opinions to yourself and not be so quick to talk shit to someone befor thay have a chance to clarify what was misunderstood.

First off I knew steve in highschool(Mission San Jose High School) You dont know shit so dont EVEN go there. Second, He and Brian Endicott ran around mission campus a lot and use to rag on one guy( I wont name the person) and tortured him remoselessly. He used to sleep with Susan Brye who was and underclassmen and now is attorney( she got smart) Steve, brian and John Alter were creek rats who fancied themselves bad asses and now are either on with there lives or dead. Dont even pretend to know these people and scam them. Steve never grew up, Continued to play thug and paided the price with his life

You know, Wiz was a good man, and what occurred sucked.
I have my own suspicions as to what happened, and I partially blame myself.
Shoulda never hooked him up with some dumb greedy dope skank.
When I think of him, I try to think of his practicality that he took with all situations in life.
I may not agree with many things he was involved in, or many things I was involved in myself, but in the end he was an honerable man with ethics who hated the hypocritical pieces of dog shit that make up society, and govern it as such.
Jeanie, you'll allways be a dope whore in my book, and I doubt I'll ever see it differently.
A man of hidden virtue died that night, and I do hold your "homies" responsible.
I don't even know why I'm posting this, it's been about 5 years since that night, and I was sober, and out of everything when it happened.
But I still feel partially responsible.
Rest in peace Mein Freund.

necron99 who the hell are you and why do you insist on twisting everything I say around and adding your own BS lies? I never said I had a child with Steve and Im not a speed freak as you call it. Im simply someone who was close to Steve. He was a dear friend of mine and I truly miss him. Why is that such a problem for you. You seem to have some issues that you my consider getting professional help so you can deal with them.
