I am very angry about the way the Tracy police handled her case! They should have sent out an Amber Alert just in case she was kidnapped!!!! If they found out later she wandered off than fine, but what would it have hurt you idiots? There needs to be a law that when a child is missing it should be treated as an abduction until proven other wise! They should have searched the homes of all 80 registered sex offenders in her immediate area immediately! Instead they wasted precious time while she was probably alive. Police shouldn't need a warrant to search peoples homes when a child is missing! They should have been able to immediately search all of the homes in her trailer park too. They weren't aggresive enough with this case! I am so upset, she reminds me of my own daughter. I watched the video on the news of her skipping around playing and she just reminded me so much of my own precious daughter and I am so sad for her family.

I dont think blaming the police in that area is fair. They have worked hard on this case and Im sure they will find justice for her and her family.
Our country needs to turn to God.

I am not sure, but I was under the impression that they need more info to send out an Amber Alert. They may need to know if she was REALLY taken, and at the point of her first reported missing,I guess they weren't too sure. But yeah,I think they should have ASSUMED something bad happened, since she never wandered off before. I think the Amber Alert may have helped ,but perhaps the info was vague on what happened.

Funny that people were so quick to assume the sex offenders were responsible for this crime: As it turns out, evidence is pointing directly at the pastor of a church!!!!!!!!!!

The Amber Alert was issued on 04/01/09 - five days after she went missing. Yet, on 03/31/09 police searched 6 homes during the course of their investigation into her disappearance. http://www.recordnet.com/apps/pbcs.dll/articl...
Seems that if there is enough info to search 6 homes, there was enough info to issue the alert. Something just doesn't add up here.

Whoever it was that did this will get away with it as they all do !!! big trial, lots of money, and then to jail for life so we can take care of the loser.

With A DEATH PENALTY in CA, that never uses it !!

Yeah, teach people about not killing people by killing people, yeah, that's the ticket.

The government has enough power that they use negligently, they don't need any more.

I'm so sad that our world has lost yet another innocent child at the hands of some depraved pervert. All I can think of is what that child went through in the last moments of her life...the pain, the fear....and how this world has let her and millions of other children down. Our problem is leniency! Statistics show pedophiles can not be rehabilitated.....pedophiles even admit they can't be rehabilitated. We need to toughen up and crack down. The average prison time for molestation is roughly 5 years. That's not enough! We need a one strike law but, to appease the bleeding hearts who would rather have the blood of a child on their hands than the tears of a pedophile, how about a two strikes law? First strike, mandatory 10 years in prison. Second strike, life sentence in general population. Then we wouldn't have to apply the death penalty....though other inmates might see it necessary.

Trust me, I couldn't agree with you more. Unfortunately, we will never get enough people to agree with that.....too many sympathizers out there. But we definitely need to get tougher punishments someday.
