RSM continues to be fine for now. Some estimates say there could be a problem within the next 24-48 hours, but the fire is currently mainly moving east, toward Riverside county, although somewhat to the south also. Best sources to check are ocregister.com and ocfa.org , although they are not updated as often as would be nice. vienaxx wrote: an update of rancho santa margarita situation, please

Watching another smoke column rising in TC. Hard to tell frm our hotel in Foothill Ranch, but it pretty much looks like it is near Hamilton Oaks.
No sign of smoke to the south (RSM/Ladera) so It seems everything is probably fine down there now.
Does not appear to be as far east as O'Neil park, but again, hard to tell.
My brother in-law is still in Silverado. Anthony went up to Santiago Peak to refill the generator powering the CAnyon Watch radio repeater when the call came to evac Silverado yesterday. Have not heard any news from him yet.
We're pretty confident he'll be okay. He's lived there (Ladd Cyn) for 20-yrs and really knows his way around, so I'm sure he can find a safe hideout until it passes through......I hope...

Anyone know if Glenn Ranch Way in Trabuco Canyon is evacuated? I am trying to reach some friends there but get no answer on the phone? Back East in Canada and concerned...

Glenn Ranch Rd is open. Some folks were voluntarily evacuated and the fire go close to the homes but none were burned that I have heard of.
Don't know about Rancho Los Lomas - It was definitely in a bad spot though. Until I put my eyeballs on it I can't say for sure. I THINK if it had burned it would have been mentioned in the news.
We are monitoring Canyon Watch radio activity in Silverado - Everything is looking good there so far. Fire slowed way down and did not enter Silverado proper. No homes lost. It is still however under considerable threat.
RSM and Robinson Ranch appear to be in the clear, as does Live Oak and Trabuco Canyon areas.
