Sad

That stretch of highway by the marina is called "blood alley" by a lot of folks who live up there

I lived up past the marina for about a year, renting from some folks who had lived there for 30 years

They used to say they held their breath every summer, because almost every year they had lived there, somebody has died in an accident along that area

It's two lanes and head to head traffic. And many, many people commute from Lake County

People get in a hurry to get home, and people start getting careless

I've had to avoid a number of potential accidents there through the years when people have lost control and skidded over the yellow lane

On one occasion two teenage girls were driving along there, it looked like they were arguing and yelling, and the one teen lost control, took them into a bank, and it killed them both

It's worth it to keep in mind that that stretch has taken many lives, and to drive cautiously and accordingly
unbelievable

To: sad my ass. were you on scene or at the scene?
Were you able to smell her breath or take a blood alcohol? How do you know she was drunk? And how do you know that the beer cans came from her van and not the pick-up. Did you witness the accident or just come up on it? Were you a respondent? Or just another driver on the road who happened on the scene? Or are you a psychic, and it just came to you?

Here's why I asked these questions, first of all you are making assumptions not proven. I am not ignorant enough to believe that she could have been drinking, but to use your words' "Her Body smelled of..." Still does not prove that she had been drinking nor that she was drunk. So the for sure thing is that she was driving reckless and speeding. Also you said that there was open containers in her van which would have been flying all over the place making everyone reek of beer. I feel bad for all involved, but I feel worse for the children she left behind, and the driver of the pickup because he will live with that memory for the rest of his life. Even though it wasn't his fault. There are all kinds of killers behind the wheel, not just drunk drivers, and they are just as bad, a killer is a killer.
