To the voters in the Town of Shirley, and your continued support of the Nashoba Valley Technical School District and our mission, Thank you. Your vote secures the much needed ability for the district to maintain the highest quality educational facility in the Nashoba / Merrimack Valley region. We look forward to working with the leadership of district towns that continue to believe in our mission.

Respectfully
Mr. Kevin McKenzie / Chairman School Committee
Nashoba Valley Technical High School

Thank God the real school assessment passed without being tied to an override. This forces the selectmen to deal with the true deficit now instead of delaying the tough choices facing the town. I'm also glad that there is not going to be a prolonged and bitter fight that would only serve to further the divide between the school and the selectmen. Let's hope that the selectmen and the schools will leave all this needless and damaging bickering in the past. The truth is that the town and the schools need each other in order to be successful. A well respected school system will help this town grow and expand it's tax base. A well run and safe town will help to attract builders, businesses, and new families to the town allowing for well funded schools.

Daily Horoscope for June 19

Leo

You need to vary your domestic routine slightly today to avoid feeling bored or restless, especially if the day threatens to be rather predictable. Think of ways to introduce a note of spontaneity into the proceedings, even if they're very minor, because they'll make you feel more lively and on the ball. If you're going shopping you'll be tempted by some impulse buys.
