Coakley: I will fight any Unitil rate hike - Sentinel & Enterprise

Attorney General Martha Coakley said Thursday she will fight any attempt by Unitil Corp.

I don't see Martha Coakley doing ANYTHING about a rate hike. Of course Unitil is prepared to make it seem justified when, in reality, their RATES are not justified. I have relatives all over the country and NONE of them pay $300 a month for their electricity like I do. It's insane.

Last week? Mayor Wong, where you have been for the last couple of years? Why didn't you propose this at the end of 2008? And when the heck are our lights going to be turned back on? It has been nearly TWO YEARS.
What really irks me is my property has been devalued-again-by the city and yet my property taxes have been INCREASED AGAIN!
Do something for the people in this town for gosh's sakes besides talk and take our money.

Unitil would still be distributing the electricity, and those distribution charges are unregulated and can go as high as they want them.

Wong is doing exactly what Unitil wants her to do. They don't make money off the regulated charges. Their business is distribution.

Coakley,the DPU, Unitil and Wong are all too busy kissing each others backsides to care about the heat being generated by the corruption of all those concerned...however, the message is out there and justice will prevail, I hope. All it takes is for the people of the affected towns to say enough is enough and take them all to Court and sue the bums...I would be willing to chip in for the attorney fees...
