Really: "I do know that Dr. McCoy's contract states that he is to reside in the Ferguson-Florissant District like all previous Superintendents."
I did not see this stated in the previous Super's contract. Are you sure Dr. McCoy has that in his?

i always thought there was more to this story, but all the negros jumped on the race card right away before knowing what was going on. did anyone else see how the "protesters" were acting. they weren't worried about protesting, they were worried about getting their dumb ass on T.V. and making fools of themselves. any time you put a negro in charge of anything, there will be problems. this is just another good example.

See that, if today's Post-Dispatch article sources are trustworthy, Dr. McCoy was too much of an advocate for school choice.

Seeing that the FFSD itself teeters on loss of accreditation and recently had a tax increase voted down, inviting low achieving students from adjacent districts into FFSD would be a bad move. Also keep in mind that there are advocates of merging several NC districts in Jeff City.

In light of the above, taking care of its own students and trying to figure out how to achieve success with them is the more prudent course here.

Maybe a few of those militant folks who attended the board meeting could try attending their kid's parent teacher conference some time.

Advantage FF school board on this one.

Given the fact that the district is majority black, and that at least half of those kids are doing just fine, maybe those are the parents that show up for conferences. That do care about school. That do practice discipline at home. Or are you part of the crowd that is convinced that white kids do all the succeeding at academics and black kids only succeed at causing trouble?Untill the black activists and white activists stop ponting fingers at each other, the rest of us are screwed!

When the district is teetering on the edge of provisional accreditation, at least half of the kids are not doing just fine.

When the average ACT score of district students is 17 or 18 the kids are not doing just fine.

When less than 10 percent of students have ACTs at or above the state average, the kids aren't doing just fine.

And nobody in that district is doing just fine if whites feel compelled: a. to move from the district; b. not to move to the district; c. not to send their children to the district schools; and d. not to vote for tax increases, based in large part on the condition of the school district.

Trying to rationalize anything with the white racists that spew their hate in here is like pissing in the wind. They're HATERS one and all. Funny part is, the district is now predominate black. It's obvious that little demographic fact is gnawing at their tiny manitalia like a dog pecker gnat.

Huh. Sounds like the race card being played out. White kids can't learn in a "black" disrict? White kids can't deal with being the minority? Only white people didn't vote down the tax increase? Geez, us poor white people, it so sucks to have choices. Oh wait! Poor white people don't count either. Hey Proud Black Woman - can my kid p

this WAS a good school district until the blacks started moving in,plain and simple. be down hill ever since and will continue down hill as long as there are blacks in the schools and in the cities surrounding them. history speaks for itself. why give them a tax increase when they can't handle the money they have. McCoy has a house in the city that's never been lived in,he's just playing the game, gave himself a nice raise too. he's wanting to fill out schools with kids from normandy and riverview. let these kids go to their own schools, they made them what they are. why do you think people moved away? to get away from the negro neigborhoods and schools and then you want to invite them in to ruin our schools without even paying any tax dollars in. doesn't anyone get it, no one wants to live around the blacks.

Because your children are so smart, and the influx of the other wizards, the school district will taken over by the state. Soon. It has already bee discussed in Jeff City

Like it or not, if an area loses high net worth families, white or black, and those families are replaced by low net worth families, the area will suffer at least economically. That's the fate of Ferguson over the last few years. The FFSD has suffered a loss of high achieving students, replaced by low achievers, with similar results--and now Dr. McCoy's future in the district hangs in balance.

they need to stop student transfers and this busing crap if they want to preserve the school district. once the black families started moving in the area is done. McCoy demise was his own doing, couldn't follow the rules and the elected school board ( which we all elected) didn't agree with his plans, so it's time for him to go.

That McCoy went to Lafayette High is a serious matter and should be investigated if he lived in north county. Doing this illustrates his background and belief that legal residency requirements for schools can be ignored. This is a major problem for many school districts and cost the taxpayers a lot of money.

Hold the Legislatures accountable. The School Districts are subject to State and Federal Law.

Start at the top. That's where the problems are.
