Jessica Hayes, an office specialist in the Shiprock Chapter House, was dismissed from her duties earlier this month on allegations of fraud and identity theft.

I would like to say that the person who committed the crime should not only be held responsible but should face federal criminal charges so as not to have this occur a lot in the Navajo Tribe. I am not a native person but I am married to a Navajo woman and it makes my wife's ethnic race look bad and once more, if they are not held accountable then what is not to make it to happen again. Since there will be no criminal charges pressed.

THERE IS MORE BEHIND THIS STORY HAYES WASN'T THE ONLY ONE INVOLVE. THERE WERE OTHER INDIVIDUALS WHO WERE INVOLVE, I THINK THERE WAS ANOTHER GIRL WHO WAS INVOLVED WHO ALSO DOSENT WORK THERE ANYMORE, MAYBE WHO EVER IS INVESTIGATING THIS SITUATION NEEDS TO DIGG A LITTLE MORE....

If you go back to the article, you'll remember that the Shiprock Chapter, officials and even the police are refusing to cooperate in releasing information. Before someone can fully investigate the situation, there nees to be a shift in thinking about public records.

the monies from the scholarship funds are for honest people. The white collar crime unit will be notified as well as the auditor general, dah they were just audited last year. There's more thsn meets the eye this story. This person was submitting false doucments for her family members as well. So it was over 2000.00 I have a big mouth and the truth will pervail.
