I am a former resident as weel and I just drove through there today. It is no longer a boys ranch and has nothing to do with buckner's anymore. Most of the old dorms are torn down. All that remains is the church (which looks to be fixed up again), Patterson dorm and Wren dorms. The pool is gone and the gym as well. The chow hall looked to be there but I didn't drive back there. I was deppressed about it all. I spent a few great years there and I was hoping to be able to walk around and remember it all.

I too was a past resident of Buckner Boy's Ranch. I drove there back in mid-1997 and it was no longer a Buckner facility. I lived at Buckner from 1989-1993. My favorite house parents were the Kelly's but can't recall the name of the dorm.

My house parents were Jack and Margaret Kirkland. Miss them like crazy. I was there between 85-86 during the Challenger explosion

When I first arrived at Buckner the kirklands were my house parents. I did not like Jack. He was very mean, and strict for stupid stuff like how to mow a lawn, and telling me I was not allowed to wear shoes that my mother purchased for me. Shortly after I reported this all going on to my mother they packed up and left and I transferred to the Kelly's dorm where everything was perfect.
