This is a great example of OverKill, and
a failure to get exact information. To
evacuate any area for any gunman,or a
suicidal person is beyond all common
sense.These police have one person,the
house is surrounded,so why you tell me
to leave my home.If you dont have enou
gh men,and fire power, then dont be so
timid,as to ask me to leave my home,
because a whole mix of men,can not arr
est one man. This is not only crazy,
its something for the police, that if
they are so scared, then turn their
uniforms and badge in. This is absolute ly wrong.

TPD believed a suicidal person barricaded himself inside in a home, no one was inside, said Sgt. Diana Lopez, a TPD Officer. The incident began when police got a call about a family disturbance, Lopez said.
Police received word that there was a suicidal person who was seen with at least one weapon, Lopez said.
They were unable to find the person......SWAT & hostage negotiators responded...
Five homes in the surrounding area were also evacuated.

I couldn't get to the end of that story; but am wondering if it's the same one that in which the Police hancuffed roughly, & left in the heat, an "alleged Robber" that turned out to be a Real Estate Agent showing a vacant house...."they" didn't believe her!

Lopez is also the one who said Shawn Conrad was the Aggressor, The Killer was the Victim; & Shawns friend got to be charged simply because he had a Prison Record; I guess she didn't say "he served his time". Lopez needs to lay off the booze.
